Summary: This house is amazing. It was immaculate and the layout is fantastic. We have two kids (5 and 7) and the house offered plenty of space for us. Sue and Matt have provided literally everything you need aside from clothing and food. The island is so fun, many beaches to explore and it has a very family friendly feel. The location is great, know that you will likely want to drive to the beaches unless you travel light, then recreation beach is an easy walk (just not when bringing chairs, coolers, sand toys, and a 5 year old who really takes her time walking anywhere). You can also easily walk to the restaurant/ice cream window/general store from the house which is great. This was our first time on the island and we weren’t sure how convenient the ferry would be but it was a lot easier than we expected. We really only had to wait once for about twenty min when coming back to the island around 9pm one Thurs night. Otherwise we almost always got right on. That said we didn’t leave very often. Only four times in two weeks to restock food, catch a movie on rainy days, and visit family near Augusta.

Summary: We couldn’t have asked for a better week’s stay. The only thing we were required to bring was a tooth brush, clothes, our tennis racquets and .bikes. It was a great place to stay and I would come back in a minute!

Summary: This beautiful bit of heaven was the perfect retreat for our family. We were a total of 6, two grandparents, two children and two grandchildren (ages 2 1/2 and 9 months). From the moment we booked Matt and Susan were always available to answer questions.. and we asked many. They helped up with the marina we rented our pontoon boat as well as securing a slip at the Frye Island Marina.. do this as soon as possible there aren't many for renters! Their beautiful home is even better than the photos listed on the website. Pristine clean and with everything one needs for a home rental vacation down to a lovely welcome basket upon our arrival. Frye Island is a wonderful getaway with so much to offer a family with young children. The community center is staffed with counselors who provide all kind of activities for young children along with the playground and in ground pool which at the most only had two other families there when we were swimming. But the Lelansky's home was really the prize of the two week vacation. Nestled on a quiet street (only one other home) the home itself is furnished with extremely comfortable beds and linens as well as modern up to date furniture. The front porch is a great place to have coffee in the morning as well as at dusk. The hummingbirds are not shy at their feeder and provide lots of entertainment for youngsters to be able to be so close and watch them feeding. We cannot praise this beautiful location and wonderful host family. We cannot wait to return in the future! Thank you Matt and Susan for a wonderfully memorable two weeks!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful cabin on such a lovely island. The cabin was complete with everything you would need and no detail was missed. Everything was clean and just right! Our family enjoyed running, biking, kayaking, swimming and visiting all of the beautiful beaches the island offers. Truly a memorable stay. We hope to return!

Summary: Perfect Frye Island house. The landlords take a lot of pride in it and it has everything you could need. Extremely well designed and attractive. Everything was so well thought out and convenient, it enhanced our vacation tremendously. I would definitely stay there again!

Summary: We had a wonderful week in this welcoming and comfortable cottage. Matt and Sue made sure that every detail was in place. The rooms are a nice size, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful and everything you need to have a fun and relaxing vacation has been provided. We would definitely seek out this property when renting on Frye Island again!

Summary: Sue and Matt are great hosts, they really set up the house to have a great time on Frye Island. We've stayed at a bunch of vacation houses over the years, but this one was the best stocked with anything you'd need. We loved the tranquility of the island, the kids loved the beaches and the air hockey in the house. The house is new and with enough room where people weren't constantly on top of each other. The island is pretty secluded, there's a 9 hole golf course, rec center, cafe and general store, but we planned enough trips off Frye to make it interesting for the kids. Portland is 45min away and the Naples area is fun at night. It was a great trip for our family this year! -Dave and family

Summary: We loved our stay, Frye Island is a mellow place with a dozen small beaches to pick from for your family time. A decent restaurant and general store help mix it up. Swim, sun, fish, boat, bike.

Summary: Great home for our family vacation. Boys loved the bunkbeds and the air hockey. Owners were incredibly responsive and super friendly. Home was beautiful and had a great lake/cabin feel with a modern twist.
