Summary: Very clean and quaint. A short walk to the American Cemetery. Best to have a car or use a taxi to get to restaurants as Ubers are non-existent.

Summary: This is the place to stay if you're going to Omaha Beach/American cemetery/Overlord museum and you're driving your own car/rental car. It is amazingly located near all the things in the area you'll want to see and they have free parking. Bonus, you don't have to drag your luggage up the stairs because your room is right next to your parking space. Our room was very spacious, very clean, and the walk in shower was very large. It also had a large bed and a smaller one, so if you're traveling with a child, there is ample space for everyone to be comfortable. We were there during the off season so things were fairly quiet, I couldn't say what the atmosphere in the area is like during the high season, but I suspect this would still be the best place in the area. Celine was very kind and responsive, she messaged right away on Whatsapp to let us know the status of our room and when we could check in. *Important for Americans - they provided a mini fridge in the room that actually kept beverages cold, which is apparently not a thing anywhere else in this country. They also had complimentary bottles of water in the fridge, so it was a very welcome touch to finally have a cold drink after a week of drinking room temperature water and barely cool soft drinks. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to the area looking for a good place to stay.

Summary: The restaurant on site is not associated with the hotel, they close at 4pm…so don’t stay out and plan to eat. No one was at the hotel to check you in, you do it via email, they don’t speak English so hope your French is up to par. The room was clean, but spartan, no English TV, all French. On the plus side it was close to the US Cemetery.

Summary: Property manager/owner was attentive and communicative. The room was clean and well-appointed. Close to Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, it is within walking distance for most, though there is not a defined sidewalk/path, so care must be taken if this is your mode. There is an attached cafe for lunch and the food is acceptable. There is a museum within walking distance, too. OF IMPORTANCE, and nothing to do with the property. Taxi service is available from the train stations that serve the area, so getting there is not necessarily difficult for those not securing a rental car or part of a tour/group. Getting from the area to anywhere else via a taxi service is not easy. They simply are not present locally for the most part, so plan accordingly. Carry the phone number for a local taxi service and be prepared to call. Uber claims to have service in the area, but good luck. They will allow you to call a car, but the likelihood of ever connecting with one is next to zero.

Summary: What were we needed to know before we went is that there aren’t any dining options for dinner or breakfast nearby. Since we had a no car, that made it a little difficult. We had to plan around the lunches at the little café next-door, and only to have one meal a day. It was a little bit of a starvation tour, as there weren’t any little grocery stores nearby either.
