Summary: A great time was had by all. The "all" included 4 adults, 2 boys ages 9 & 10, and 2 girls ages 11 & 12. We rented it for the indoor heated pool in the middle of March in Iowa and couldn't have asked for anything better. Kids spent countless hours in the pool which is deep enough to dive in and they were thrilled. It had a basketball hoop and 2 basketballs that they spent much time playing. In addition we took a floatable volleyball net, pool rings and pool loungers. We took food so never had to leave and the kids liked only getting out long enough to eat and then back in they went. By evening they were finally wore out so we all played some games. Charades was a huge hit and we did a lot of laughing and snacking. By the 2nd day the kids were asking when were we going to come back again. So it got a thumbs up from them as well as the adults. These were nice ages to get full use of the pool, as all could swim and loved the water. The rest of us enjoyed watching their antics with a couple of us adults getting in and playing some games with them. An added plus is the owner lives in the upper half and when you have any questions a simple text and he is quick to respond and very friendly. Would we rent again? ABSOLUTELY!!!! Looking forward to next spring break if not before.

Summary: Just lost my wife to cancer and the family decided on a nice getaway. Mother in law ended up finding this place and I’m glad she did. The hospitality was amazing and the kids had a blast at the property especially the indoor pool. Everything we needed for a nice getaway was there and more as the property owner was always in contact and making sure we had what we needed at all times.

Summary: My husband and I were visiting some family the house was just perfect amount of space.the beds were comfortable and clean,and my kids enjoyed swimming in the pool 🏊‍♂️ The host was very attentive to us and immediately answered our questions

Summary: This place was like living the American Dream. Wish the kids could have stayed longer but they had to eat their pumpkin waffles and go to school the next morning! Adults stayed and enjoyed morning water aerobics. Pat was amazing and helped as soon as we texted him. We will 100 % be back to enjoy the river and more. Thanks to the Postons for their great hospitality!

Summary: Beautiful property and gorgeous indoor pool. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the basement. The owner was very accomodating and attentive, but not obtrusive at all. I would highly recommend.

Summary: Excellent family getaway for two adults and four kids (ages 10 - 1 years old). We primarily booked this for the pool. It is one of the best indoor, private pools that we have been to in a rental. Although it could be cold during the winter, they had multiple space heaters available for us which was more than enough. The kids didn’t seem to mind at all. Plenty of fun things to do in the pool. We didn’t enjoy the outside activities as much since the kids were preoccupied with a pool and it was cold, but could see them having a lot of fun in warmer times. The highlight is the owner who is very attentive to your needs. I will definitely book again.

Summary: This place had everything my family was looking for like an indoor heated pool, outdoor things to explore, and indoor games for all ages! Pat communicated with us the whole time to make sure our needs were being met. He knew we had a young child so the pack-n-play was set up when we arrived. Pat's excellent communication made us feel like we were staying at a friend's house, inviting and comfortable. We all enjoyed walking around the property and checking out the old time cabin. Both of our boys (5 &2) loved playing in the playroom. They hardly touched the toys we brought for them because there are so many things to play with here. Our teenagers, stayed in the pool most of the time. All of us slept very well. We had a fabulous time and would like to come back it the summer to get a "warmer weather" experience!

Summary: We booked this rental property because of the indoor pool and it did not disappoint! My husband and I and our 3 and 5 year olds enjoyed a relaxing and fun stay at this property. It was April during covid and we were looking for a drivable location where we could enjoy some private indoor swimming. This place was perfect! The Pool: The owner of this property created a such a beautiful indoor pool. It's a large pool that you would expect to find at a hotel, not someone's home. The architecture is lovely with a high vaulted ceiling and windows surrounding it so that you almost feel like you're outdoors. The pool was clean and WARM! If the outdoor temperature is chilly, the owner has a high powered space heater in the pool room that you can turn on and off as needed to keep the area around the pool nice and warm as well. I think it would be lovely in any season - in the summer you could open the many sliding glass doors around the pool to get the feel of an outdoor pool and in the winter you could keep it toasty warm while swimming in a pool and looking outside at the snow covered hills around you. My kids are still talking about the "pool house" and asking when we can go back. The Accommodations: You are staying in the basement of the property so some of the bedrooms don't have any windows. It is clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. A full kitchen, a TV with cable and options for watching DVDs. The beds were comfortable and honestly if we needed something, the owner of the property probably would have gotten it for us as he was very attentive and responsive. Because it's a basement, it's a little dark overall, but the brightness of the pool and beautiful outdoor property make up for it. Fun Exploration: On the property there are other fun things to enjoy. There is a small pond, an impressive teepee and, our favorite; an historic old cabin full of antiques. Our girls had a great time exploring the old cabin and we even had a fire in it and roasted marshmallows one night. Overall we had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back. The owner of the property was a perfect combination of accommodating and responsive but also remained elusive so that we felt as though we were the only people there.
