Positive: I have no words to express my generosity for this experience that I had by staying in Rain Forest Star and having as my hiking guide Prabath. He and his family welcomed me, and I felt no difference rather than being with my own family. The hiking experience exceeded far and beyond my expectations, and Prabath's family treated me like a Sri Lankan family member. Kikiri and Shehan looked after me with their kindness as well. I don't have a better memory of such an amazing hiking experience in the Rain Forest with Prabath. From the bottom of my heart, thanks 😊 ♥️ and cu again .

Positive: Absolutey worth you Money. The family running this place is amazing, they try to make your stay as comfotable as possible. No false promises or outdated photos, everything is clean and brand new. 10/10 will come again.

Positive: This is a boutique hotel set on the edge of the rainforest, run by a lovely young couple, Prabath and Harshani. The room is spacious, modern and comfortable with terrific natural light, it's own modem and ample power sockets and lights. It has a modern shower-room and a kitchenette area which has plenty of space for the kettle, cups and drinks-making facilities. There is a private outdoor seating area which overlooks fields with trees just beyond. It's like a nature garden. Just relaxing on the deck we saw white-throated kingfishers, both blue-tailed and green bee-eaters, flower-peckers, doves, a grey-headed eagle (couldn't decide on identity) and so much more. After sunset we saw fire-flies too - a great favourite of ours. Prabath is a Sinharaja forest guide and he accompanied us on our day in the rainforest. He is an amazing spotter of animals - quite incredible. He is good company too, easy to spend a day with, and has a wide knowledge of the forest's animals and plants. Harshani looks after the hotel side of things and is a fabulous cook. We booked full-board and stayed for 2 nights. We enjoyed every meal. I did see them collecting some veg and spices from their own garden so, whilst it may not all be home-grown, much of it is.
Negative: I may have put a small bin in the bathroom as well as the one in the main room, but it isn't a big deal.
Summary: Comfortable, pleasant and relaxing - it was difficult to leave.

Positive: It’s the best place to be in Sinharaja. Everything was great ! The room is really beautiful, the view on the rice fields is amazing. Thank you for everything, the tour and the food were excellent! I can’t wait to come back !

Positive: If I were to describe all of my impressions, I would never finish. This accommodation is a jewel and truly unique. The warmth and helpfulness of the hosts is extraordinary. The accommodation is modernly furnished and everything was clean and worked perfectly. I enjoyed every minute, whether on the tours in the jungle or when I simply sat on my terrace and looked into the garden for hours. For me, this place was magical and my very own personal paradise. As a frequent traveler, I have seen a lot but I have been looking for this place for a long time and to my surprise, I did not expect it to be like this. This accommodation is an absolute must for nature lovers who are looking for a quiet place where nothing is lacking. On the contrary, I think you are offered a unique atmosphere that is second to none. Absolute recommendation and a must when staying in Sri Lanka. Thank you for this great experience. Coming as a guest and leaving as a friend has never been as good for me as it is here. I look forward to seeing my friends again 🫂🥰

Positive: the bathroom was wonderful, hot water too, and the room is big and clean with a very beautiful view. the owner offer us to share rice but you can order dinner too. and the wifi works really well :) and the breakfast was really good you can ask for something different if you need. one of the most beautiful guest house I stayed in sri lanka and I stayed in more than 15 places there!

Positive: I have only good thoughts when I am thinking about this place. When I arrived I got greeted by Prubad and his wife with a big smile. Even when it was already passed lunchtime they asked me if I wanted lunch after my long trip.The pictures on the site do not really justice. It is a lot nicer. The place is new, the bathroom is super. There is a shower for cold and hot water. Prubad and his wife will do anything to make you feel at home. The first night I just been sitting on the terrace watching the thunderstorm and the fireflies flying around...it was wonderful. They have a small menu where you can choose from for breakfast, lunch and diner because you are in the jungle and there is not much around. You do not need to look for a tourguide, you can do it with them. You have different choices for tours and Prubad knows a lot about nature. I can write here a whole story how good it was but will not do that. Do not hesitate if you want to stay in the rainforest. You will not regret it

Positive: Everything is new, bathroom is amazing, not smth you expect to see in the forest :) Hot water also available. We booked a tour in the forest with the owner for 70 usd in total (2 ppl), loved it! Highly recommend the place and the tour. Not many reviews because place is brand new.
Negative: We ordered dinner, food was ok, could be better
