Summary: For a budget hotel and a short stay, this hotel was excellent. Went to an event in Chelmsford and booked a night to break up the journey home. Didn't expect much but was really pleasantly surprised. Friendly efficient check in. Room was more than adequate (triple room, not massive but reasonable for a short stay). Bed was comfy. Pillow was really comfy. Bedding and towels were simple but nice and clean. Shower was excellent. The only things which detract from the score were lack of chair in bedroom; and the bathroom and bedroom entrance flooring. It looked like it needed a deep clean (a bit like a public swimming pool floor). That aside, we agreed we would stay again. It was cheap (for three) convenient, had good amenities (an ironing board, iron and hairdryer! As well as tea and coffee 👍 and aircon that worked and the shower was great, good water pressure and nice and warm). Check in and check out staff were great and super friendly. We had a few hours sleep (it was pretty quiet) before hitting the road and have no complaints whatsoever.

Summary: Very convenient for airport. We had a quiet end room with comfy beds, but there was a nasty smell in the room and the shower was blocked so the water drained away very slowly

Summary: Please sort out your TV service. Channels constantly pixelating made viewing very frustrating. Unable to watch some channels ie quest as not programmed. Other than that it was excellent

Summary: No one at the desk when I arrived so had to wait a while. Given a quiet room as requested but every channel was pixelated on the TV. Went back to the desk - waited again for someone to arrive. The staff member went and checked another room near mine and on return said “All the channels are pixelated there too. I’m not sure what I can do about that. Sorry.” The room was incredibly hot and I barely slept for 30 mins the whole night so not really worth booking ‘to be refreshed for the airport’.
