Positive: The location and facilities were great. Easy access to everywhere. Local shops, chemists, and several restaurants.
Negative: A few things: 1) Booking.com's listing contained inaccurate information; the property was advertised as a four-star hotel but was, in reality, a city-center apartment complex. More accurate information would have facilitated a more informed decision. 2) The check-in process. I found this to be cumbersome and unreliable. I have stayed in different hotels around the world, but never have I ever had to wait over an hour, after a long 24-hour flight to get the codes working. First, I was told to pay a deposit, which I did, then to download an app, then wait for a code. My phone died, and I was outside begging strangers to let me use their phones to call the customer care emergency line. This is unacceptable. There should be alternatives that don't rely solely on mobile phones. 3) Regarding housekeeping, I contacted the team four nights into my stay. I was informed that this service wasn't included in my reservation, which surprised me. I was told that fresh towels and linens would be provided, but bed-making was not part of the service. This seemed unusual for a four-star hotel. However, they eventually did provide the requested services, including bed-making, room cleaning, and fresh towels and toilet paper. While I appreciate their eventual assistance, I believe these services should be standard and readily available without requiring a request. 4) Coincidentally, the day I had my room cleaned, I returned after a long day out, only to find that I was locked out again. This time, I was prepared; I had a local number, called, and was told to "give it time," "it will fix itself." It did not fix itself; after what seemed like an eternity, I had to get a new code and reinstall the Flexpass app. This ordeal took almost an hour to resolve. 5) I found the FlexPass app very glitchy and annoying to use. It is slow, especially when using the elevators. If your phone dies, you are locked out.
