Positive: We had the best experience at Ratanui Lodge. Their exceptional hospitality, comfortable and expertly clean rooms, and safe and secure environment were fantastic. The location is just a short 3 - 4 minute walk from the beach, local bars/restaurants and general store. We will happily stay here again.
Negative: The breakfast, although VERY delicious, was very slow to come out of the kitchen. It took about an hour for breakfast, so take that into consideration if you have morning plans. The food was amazing though, as were our coffees.
Summary: Lovely, laxed and luxurious.

Positive: A lovely location right near the beach and perfect place to relax after finishing the Heaphy track. Beautiful hotel, everything was very comfortable and clean and the people were lovely. Hot tub was great! Breakfast was also delicious. A wonderful place all round, wish we could have stayed longer!
Negative: Nothing!

Positive: Great place to stay. Lovely accommodation. Room was very clean, decent size and tastefully decorated. Loved the wonderful moisturiser, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, really quality products with gorgeous scents. Breakfast and dinners were delicious. Great location and close by to many fantastic activities and places to see. Would recommend to others what a gem this place is.
Negative: One afternoon staff member was not so friendly and welcoming, but the rest of the fantastic staff made up for her lack of engagement.
Summary: Great place to stay, definitely recommend this place.

Positive: Fabulous little place! Extremely clean. Rooms had lovely bathrobe and gorgeous products which you could also purchase. Food was amazing! For me the food was not hot enough. I did send dinner back to be reheated - but it still wasn’t hot. The next day at breakfast - it was the same. There is a 46km drive around the mountain to get to the Lodge - whilst very windy, the views were fabulous.
Summary: Fabulous little gem!

Negative: End season but paid full price. No atmosphere . Bar closed early in evening couldn't sit and have a drink after 8pm. Just lifeless . Cut our break short buy a night as nothing to do
Summary: Rooms pleasant . But really disappointed with stay and facilities
