Positive: The owner was friendly and helpful, uses a translator machine as he did not speak English nor us Portuguese. Lovely location, spotless room, great breakfast, added bonus of a games room with a pool table. Friendly dog on site. Remote controlled gated entrance and secure parking. Great outdoor swimming pool.

Negative: Steep cobbled drive. We were on motorcycles and parked at the top. Cars are OK.

Positive: Gorgeous BnB in the heart of Tras Os Montes. Very clean, very comfy. Beautiful linens and towels, excellence everywhere. Super comfy bed. Luis and his wife are the nicest people, ready to do anything to make your trip a success. Breakfast was the best we had in our month in Portugal. Homemade jams from the garden, even their own nuts. Fresh baked bread and cake, local cheeses and hams. They even went out of their way to locate special gluten free bread and oatmeal for me since I’m celiac. There is a lounge with pool table and fireplace. Great place if you have kids, the pool looked very large and inviting, but it was still winter when we visited. Very good find!

Positive: Lúcio and his wife welcomed us warmly. Lúcio was always attentive and readily available whenever we needed anything. The place is absolutely wonderful, offering a breathtaking view of the Serra, and it’s conveniently close to the city. My wife is very detail-oriented when it comes to cleanliness, and the first thing she said upon arrival was: "Spotless!" The room had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was plentiful, with a great variety of fresh bread, cakes, fruits, cereals, juices, and beverages. Lúcio also helped us a lot with our travel itinerary, recommending the best restaurants and assisting us whenever we had any questions. Without a doubt, this is my favorite place to stay and my first choice whenever I visit Macedo!

Positive: Everything. The place is paradise, quiet and beautiful. What a view! All very comfortable, clean, organized. Sr. Lucio and Sra. Lourdes were exceptional hosts. They go above and beyond to make sure the guests have everything they need. They help with information about the area and suggestions about good places to visit and where to eat. We felt at home and made new friends. I would highly recommend their place.
