Positive: Wonderful staff. Great, great location for that price, on the edge of "The Hill" Italian dining district, a mile from Forest Park and 2 miles from the fabulous Central West End, and right alongside I-44 to downtown or west county, and at the vital artery Hampton Avenue, which takes you south to the wonderful St. Louis Hills neighborhood. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room cleaned well. Two gas stations/convenience stores virtually next door. Nice having a charging outlet for phones & tablets on the bedside lamp base. Staff helped me greatly by locating a room for me on the first floor, since I can't do steps. Is there an elevator or ramp for upper floors? The location is only a 3 mile drive to Shrewsbury Metrolink light rail to downtown stadium, hockey arena, Union Station, Laclede's Landing, Gateway Arch, Central West End, and to Lambert Airport.
Negative: In my room the shower's floor was extremely slick, which is a safety hazard. Property is behind on its building maintenance in rooms, but nothing that really bothered me, especially at that price point. It would really help if a little pamphlet could be attached to the TV remote explaining how to operate it. Minor annoyances for that affordable price.

Positive: I had a wonderful time, arriving shortly before midnight had no problems checking in :) The hotel is close to everything, I even walked to the arch and back! The location of the hotel is wonderful, close to forest park and all the museums and you feel relaxed being in that area without all the hassle/stress to do everything in one day from the downtown area. Big applause for all of the staff for being wonderful and caring about my stay, If i'm visiting St louis again, Red roof inn will always be my choice of stay
Negative: I don't have a single thing to say against this hotel nor staff. Everything was wonderful
