Positive: The hotel host and all the staff at the front desk were exceptionally helpful, kind and friendly. The breakfast was very good. The room was very clean. Location is also very good, el Poblado is the main tourist hub in Medellin.
Negative: Nothing, everything was great.
Summary: This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed.

Positive: The 5 nights we spent at this amazing hotel (it felt like so much more than a hotel) were some of the best of our trip to Colombia. The absolutely fantastic people working here are the most kind, attentive, thoughtful, and friendly! We were treated like family form the moment we arrived, and were given very helpful tips for navigating the city, restaurants not to miss, sights to see and experiences to take in. We would make a special effort to come back to Medellin, to visit this crazy and amazing city again, and to visit Refugio del Jaguar. Our room was spotless, water was always hot, bed was very comfortable, and everything we needed was available in our room. The hotel was so comfortable and had many areas to rest and rejuvenate (those hammocks are the best!).
Summary: An absolute must stay!!

Positive: Everything about this place exceeded my expectations: 1. The people - Tatiana and her team made me feel like I was part of the family from the moment I stepped inside the door. They were warm, welcoming and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Made sure I had a list of great restaurants, tours, spas and the Medellin metro map waiting for me on whatsapp when I got there. They even had a metro card waiting for me - what a special touch of hospitality. Bonus if you have the time to hear Tatianas incredible stories of her time spent in the jungle and along the coasts of Colombia. 2. The decor and the room: pictures don't do justice to how cozy and beautiful this place is. It has a jungle resort feel about it and every detail so well thought out, from the mirror in the bathroom to the bedsheets to the breakfast area and even places to lounge in. Such a bonus when it rained and hearing the raindrops on the roof. Room and bathrooms are spacious and there were times, i did not have to lock my room because it was so safe. I literally had to force myself to leave the hotel every morning to do my tours :) 3. Service - impeccable service from the time I entered to the second I left. The rooms are very clean and cleaned everyday, the breakfast was fantastic and changed daily and the wifi was strong. 24 hours coffee and tea station and even a little library on location. Tatiana is a wealth of information and gave me great tips for my daily itineraries on travel, costs, what to see and what to avoid. 4. Location - ideal location in El Poblado. Close to the main streets in Poblado, cute neighborhoods and the metro station. Everything is walking distance from the hotel. Its a very safe neighborhood. I can't stop saying good things about this place but in short, I would highly recommend Refugio del Jaguar.
Negative: If I have to nit-pick, I would say a small locker in the room would have been great.

Positive: Breakfast was so delicious, plentiful, and healthy. And changed daily
Negative: There was music (the bass in particular) from a nearby place. There were earplugs but it was a bit tough for a few hours. But admittedly Medillin hotels all seem to have this issue arise.
Summary: Loved the hotel and staff. They all went above and beyond! Highly recommend.

Positive: Taty and the rest of the staff were so hospitable. They made us feel comfortable and provided a quiet cute space to take a break from the busy city outside. The rooms don’t have windows but this was perfect for us. It really helped with the noise at night which we had issues with at other places we have stayed in Medellin. Thankful for the one night we had and all of their helpful recommendations. Would recommend :)

Positive: Best place I’ve stayed in Colombia. It has comfy rooms and is in the perfect location for wandering around Poblado or hopping on the metro. The staff are fantastic - so helpful and kind with tons of tips about where to eat and visit. Great breakfast every morning too!
