Summary: We stayed in this lovely flat for ten days whilst visiting family in Hannover. Lauenau is an easy drive away from Hannover, maybe 30 minutes to the centre, but it's situated in a beautiful green area with impressive woodlands and hills for the more adventurous minded. The flat itself is on the ground floor of an impressive old building with high ceilings and wooden floors. It was in impeccable condition, very clean and beautiful. Our children loved the wide range of books and big selection of toys and games, which kept them busy for hours. Our beds were all very comfortable and huge. There was plenty of room there even when we had five other people visiting; some days we barely used the lounge because the hallway is so large that it was soon turned into the playroom. We also appreciated the equipment such as high chair, clothes airer and (essential for holidaying with children) a very efficient washing machine and a coffee maker. :-) Our hosts Klaus and Steffi were very friendly and accommodating throughout, from our arrival and departure days (Sunday and Wednesday, instead of the more usual Friday or Saturday check-ins and -outs) to advising us of local amenities such as swimming pool, walks, plenty of playgrounds and enough grocery shops to get by very comfortably, all within easy walking distance. We also had cause to sample various medical facilities in the area due to accident- and bug-prone offspring, all of which we found very effective and welcoming - don't forget your EHIC card! The accommodation is an absolute bargain at 40 Euros a night; many a campsite in the UK costs more than for a family of four. We'd definitely recommend it and will certainly be back!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in this lovely light spacious apartment.Very frendly helpful hosts. Lovely to be able to walk to the local discount shops and the attractive old town. Although the apartment is on the ground floor there are several steps up to the front door. Would highly recommend this apartment.

Summary: Great location for day trips throughout Northern Germany. Great hosts and family. They were more than accommodating with suggestions for travel, markets, etc. Small village with many markets to choose from, close to the main road. Well equipped kitchen, very clean apartment with lots of hot water for showers. Beds a little creaky but not a major issue. We would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend the property. Thanks for making our holiday one to remember.
