Spectacular water views from this 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home with fully screened-in porch and dock with easy water access. Bedrooms sleep 9. Total inside square footage is 1500 sqft.
Water’s Edge is a quiet and homey. It provides a calm and relaxing retreat with an opportunity to truly get away from the rest of the world, but still be close enough to get back.
The main floor contains the dining room, family room, kitchen, bedroom, laundry, full bathroom, and access to the screened-in porch and garage. The second floor has 3 bedrooms, with a balcony off of the primary bedroom, and 2 more full bathrooms.
As you enter the home, accessible with your personal entry code, you will find the Dining Room with a cathedral ceiling and large dining table that offers seating for 10, as well as a large breakfront that contains plenty of books, 1000 piece puzzles, and games for “family game night” or rainy days.
Just off of the entry way is the main floor bedroom with a queen bed and dresser.
The back half of the first floor is the family room and recently renovated, fully equipped kitchen and an awesome screened porch, all offering great views to the water. The kitchen offers all of the amenities you’d find in your own home: a 4-burner electric stove with a double oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, blender, plenty of pots, pans, bakeware and cooking utensils (including a 40 qt corn/crab pot), as well as all the silverware, plates, and cups that you and your guests might need. The sink and refrigerator are connected to a reverse osmosis water filtration system that provide plenty of filtered water for cooking, drinking, and ice. The kitchen island has seating for 2 with views out to the river.
The family room has plenty of seating including a leather sofa and love seat. The flat-screen TV is mounted above the fireplace and offers streaming services for Netflix and Disney+. Adjacent to the living room is a full-bathroom with shower, Laundry closet with full-sized washer and electric dryer, and access to the garage which contains a full-sized chest refrigerator that will keep all of your beverages frosty and an extra freezer for additional ice or whatever else needs freezing.
The large, shaded screened porch, accessed through any of 3 large glass doors in the kitchen and family room, with amazing water views, is a great place to have coffee in the morning, a relaxed crab dinner with family and friends, or quiet place to read a book and listen to the birds. The porch has a hand-made 8 ft picnic table for outdoor (bug free) dining or evening games. There is also plenty of comfortable outdoor seating at the gazebo and fire pit to enjoy the views of the river or watch for the bald eagles, heron, and osprey that live nearby. There is additional deck space (unscreened) that contains large gas grill with a side burner that can cook 16 hamburgers at a time.
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The primary bedroom with a queen bed has an en suite bathroom with a shower, flat screen Smart TV, and a sliding door out to a balcony with breathtaking views of St. Peter’s Creek all the way to the Manokin River. The Primary bedroom balcony has 2 chaise lounge chairs and a bistro set for enjoying your morning coffee or a drink at night. The middle bedroom has a queen bed and dresser. The end bedroom has a twin over full bunk and a dresser. All bedrooms have views to the water. The hallway bath is full bath with a tub/shower. There is a hair dryer on each floor.
Our favorite feature of the property is the water. The property has a 50ft dock with a boat slip (2 ft MLW). We provide 3 single kayaks and a canoe to explore St Peter’s Creek and the Manokin River. We have provided 3 adult and 2 child life jackets. If you have a boat, the St. Peter’s Creek public boat ramp is on the opposite shore. The dock is also great for fishing and crabbing (2 crab traps are provided – the Food Lion in Princess Anne often has chicken necks and gizzards for sale).
The back yard contains a firepit with seating for 10, another picnic table, and gazebo with outdoor seating. There is also bocce ball set (in the garage) if you are feeling competitive. We are right on the water, so when you are outside, we recommend bug spray.
