Summary: The property is a very well-appointed, spacious property and very clean. The property is situated in a residential complex. However, it is a duplex property with another property above. We, unfortunately experienced noisy neighbors. We mentioned this to the owners, so they are aware of this. Apparently there is a rule in the complex - no noise after 10pm! Beds are on the ‘hard’ side and electricity trips when using more than one appliance in the kitchen! The property is only 5 min drive from a beautiful beach - Ofir.. Porto, Braga and Viana do Castelo all within a 20-40 min drive on Motorways and well worth a visit. A lovely drive into Spain ( Vigo & Santiago de Compostela) is also a possibility from this base. Not much to see or do in Fão itself. Definitely would need a car for this property. Pool is a lovely communal pool. Weather in this area can be mixed. Communication with the owner’s family was very good.
