Our holiday home is the perfect place to relax on the deck with a glass of local wine in peaceful surroundings, while the children play on the large section and explore the hills which are visible from the deck.
Located within easy walking distance to the shops, and many quality cafes and restaurants, some of which which offer a courtesy coach.
The famous Rail Trail is one block back. Walking, running and cycling tracks are aplenty, catering for all abilities. The track running along the Clutha River from Alexandra to Clyde (12km) is both shaded in summer and spectacular in Autumn.
Lake Dunstan offers swimming and boating, whilst the river caters for the fisherman.
Several fine wineries many offering tastings are all close by, with Bannockburn and it's many wineries is about 20 mins drive away.
Alexandra Golf Course is close by, also Clyde Golf Course.
Historic Clyde is only 8 km away, which offers fine cafes, movie theatre and wonderful old stone buildings.
While beautiful Wanaka and Queenstown are only an hours drive away, our home offers a relaxing place to come home too.

Summary: We originally booked with the intention of my husband's parents joining us later in the stay; however circumstances prevented that happening so we had the entire 3 bed 2 bath home to ourselves. Frances was quick to reach out when I booked regarding linen and left clear instructions on the important things (wher to find the key, rubbish collection days). My husband I and celebrated our wedding anniversary at the wonderful Oliver's Restaurant 10 mins drive up the picturesque Dunstan Road in Clyde. The home was equiped and provisioned with all the amenities we could ask for, and with the main shopping area a few minutes away we stocked up with salads and bbq produce for the large gas bbq/grill. The home is situated at the rear of a very quiet street with views onto a meadow and hillside; the only sounds we heard were birds, bees and flies buzzing outside and the neighbours dog very occasionally making itself known. The sound of bagpipes playing one afternoon drew our attention to the cemetry further along at the back. I would book this home agin in a heartbeat and recommend it.
