Relaxing waterfront home with 6 person Hot Tub that you won't want to leave. The rental is the main floor 2 single beds 2 rooms and 1 private bath (jetted tub/shower combo). Shared common space kitchen, fire pit and deck but I will try and minimize my use for your enjoyment and privacy. Two kayaks and yard games for your enjoyment. Bring your fishing pole or boat for the pure michigan experience. You will be a 5 minute walk away from Island Grill (closed Mon and Tuesday) where you can enjoy food and drinks on the water. Plenty of other local restaurants obtainable by water or car. I have a fish cleaning station if you need it.

Summary: It had everything we needed. House was nice and the hot tub was my favorite. Christine was also nice.

Summary: My family and I loved our stay at this house. The home is beautiful and the location is stunning. The outdoor space is set up for entertaining, and we spent a lot of time by the fire and in the hot tub. I also really liked the decor of the home's interior, although there are a few spots that need repair (the ceiling is having some trouble at the junction between the kitchen and the living room). I only have a few criticisms: The stove and oven were not working properly. Neither came to full temperature, no matter now long we waited, with the oven being the most affected. At one point we had waited for hours (plural) and the highest we could get the temp was 385. It really affected my ability to cook for my family, and given that I love to cook it was a major draw back. We did receive a small refund after mentioning this (it was not fixed during our stay), but after carefully reviewing the reviews I see that the stove/oven have been mentioned several times by other guests. It makes me wonder if the owner is aware of the problem but has not made an attempt to fix it ... ? Either way, I'd make a point to confirm that it is working properly before booking. The only other constructive criticism I have would be the fact that there is little-to-no place to unpack. The closets have lots of stuff in them, and neither room has a dresser. There are also no towel racks or hooks in the bathroom, which made hanging towels to dry quite a feat. Overall though, a lovely rental.

Summary: Great location, hot tub and patio area very nice. Inside needs some finish work. Would have been nice to have a bit more info as to tv controls and stations. Nicely decorated but a bit overdone in areas that could have been used for renters to put their things, especially in the bathroom. Also no hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels, robes etc. But we liked the area and would consider renting again.

Summary: Host was great and very responsive. Hot tub was nice. Bbq worked great. Caught some fish right off the dock. Took a dip in the lake and played cornhole in the backyard. My group had a blast here and would definitely recommend this place!

Summary: There are definitely some pros and cons to this property. It seems like they are trying hard to make it great, but it's not quite there yet. Pros: - Great location on Lake St. Clair, very easy to get to - Excellent shower and cute bathroom, comfy towels - Lots of great outdoor gathering spaces, with fire pit and kayaks available - Very comfy beds and nice bedding - Modern kitchen Cons: - Property is not private, hosts live there - Kitchen is shared, which is not advertised, however, we never saw anyone in the kitchen - Initial communication was poor. Took a week for host to respond. Then when I got instructions about using a code, the code was not made clear. Once we were at the house, communication improved. - SPIDERWEBS. I get it, spiders love the lake too. But things were not cleared off at all. We used paper towels as there was no broom or other implement evident. - Stove and oven were both unavailabe, which impacted our meal plan. There was a hot plate made available, which was not really acceptable, and we blew a fuse using the toaster at the same time. I was most disappointed that we weren't told about the oven beforehand. Was told upon arrival there was a microwave and toaster oven, but we could not access the toaster oven. - Kayaks were so spider covered, and the dock is so high, it does not feel safe getting in and out. All in all we had a good time, but we were wary about the set-up which definitely impacted the enjoyment.

Summary: The house was really cute, great backyard that would be perfect for a party! Myself and a couple girlfriends stayed for a weekend and had such a relaxing trip. The only thing we weren’t aware of was that the host was staying for the duration of our trip/that the property and kitchen were shared spaces. Christa was very friendly and helpful, no complaints at all about her hosting- just would be aware if looking for more privacy.

Summary: We take guy trips to fish Lake St. Claire and decided to take the wives up for a weekend getaway. It was our first time on the upper part of the lake and it's loaded with fish and things to do. The house and Christa (host) are great. You can't go wrong with a house right on the lake with a hot tub and a bar and grill (Island Grill) right around the corner on the water. If your looking for a getaway I highly recommend it!
