2 Bedroom Cabin in Townsend

Our Lakefront retreat is perfect for anyone who is looking to get away in the northwoods of Wisconsin. Comfortably sleeps 6 individuals. We have 2 bedrooms and a loft. 1 bedroom is equipped with a 3 person bunk bed system, which the little ones LOVE. The second bedroom is equipped with 1 queen size bed and has lake views. The loft provides sleeping space on it's pull out queen floor mattress.
The living room has a chair and loveseat, while the sun room has an additional queen sleeper sofa (sleeps 2) with lake views.
We have a fire pit out by the lake surrounded by 7 Adirondack chairs. The deck has comfy lounge furniture (couch with ottoman, chair & coffee table) and out in the woods is a little 3 chair bistro set perfect for your morning coffee. The pier has two Adirondack chairs and a small side table.
For families looking for a great family retreat:
- Enjoy beautiful Horn Lake where you can float/swim in the water (note: We do get lily pads near the shoreline and around the pier. We like to paddle board or use the tube floats to the floating swim dock that is lily pad free for swimming! Our kids will swim to it!), or get out on your boat to enjoy Horn Lake and the other three connecting lakes.
- We have a 10'x10' floating dock out in the lake off our property that is set up to allow for swimming and lounging. It has two lounge chairs and a table are built in. The pad is anchored to prevent movement and has a ladder to easy up when you want to get out of the water.
- We have 3 adult kayaks, 3 youth kayaks, one paddle board (SUP) and 4 floating tubes that are available for your use (paddles included). Life vests are provided and must be worn while on the lake.
For the fishermen looking for a great fishing retreat:
- You can find fishing poles and some fishing gear in the fish shed on the property.
- Fish native to our lake system include Bass, Northern Pike, Panfish, and Walleye.
- Bring your boat or rent a boat and enjoy fishing on Horn Lake (full rec lake), while also having access to 3 additional lakes (Reservoir Pond (full rec lake), Little Horn Lake (no wake lake) and Explosion Lake (no wake lake) via the canal/tunnel. Public boat launch is right down the street from the cabin off of Horn Lake Road. If you rent a boat this is where you would meet the boat delivery person.
For the Snowmobilers and ice fishermen looking for a great retreat:
- Head out to Horn Lake to enjoy as much ice fishing as you can handle.
- There are tons of snowmobile trails nearby. So enjoy the northwoods from a unique perspective as you travel throughout the towns on your sled.
Whether you are looking to be active or just want to lounge around and enjoy the incredible night time stars by the bon fire, we have something for everyone.
The cabin has Starlink for wifi internet and tv! Check the "Welcome Book" at arrival for wifi user name & password.
Note: Cabin has "well water" so we do not recommend drinking the tap water or using it to make coffee. Please bring bottled water for drinking, coffee & cooking.

Summary: We had an amazing weekend getaway with three couples—no kids, just relaxation and fun! The location offered the perfect balance: close enough to enjoy nearby establishments yet extremely quiet and peaceful at the house and on the lake. The home was incredibly comfortable and stocked with everything we needed and more. We especially loved the extras like tubes and kayaks, which made for a fantastic time on the water. Highly recommend for anyone looking for both fun and tranquility in one spot!

Summary: Beautiful home in a great setting on a very quiet lake. This 3-night stay was exactly what we needed to escape from the hectic everyday life. We enjoyed our coffee on the pier every morning and a campfire every night. We had fun using the Kayaks, swimming out to the raft, and fishing off the pier. I would highly recommend renting this property to all my friends and family. We will definitely be back!

Summary: My husband and 2 kids (8 and 10) stayed here for 4 nights late July and we couldn't have asked for more! The cabin was so cute, clean and had everything we could need. Check-in was super easy and the hosts were very responsive and welcoming. We spent the days swimming, kayaking, fishing off the dock and ended with campfires by the shoreline and games around the kitchen table! It was truly the perfect northwoods family vacation and we hope to return in the future!

Summary: We had a great stay, property was clean, decor was very cute, owners were very helpful and responsive. They added little touches like a s'mores station, coffee and the welcome booklets we're great! The kayaks were immediately taken out and we were sore by the next day bc we went all over the lake! You can fish from the pier but we didn't really catch much outside of a few bluegill and some tiny perch. We did rent a pontoon which was great! Just a few heads up for those looking bc I read all reviews... It is a "mucky" bottom lake not very sandy. If you walk in from shore you sink... Yes the listing stated there were lily pads which there were but my children didn't really seem to mind them we kayaked to the floating dock and would jump in the water there. But once again bc of the lake bottom we just felt the need you shower after each swim! And lastly I knew it was a small property but it's pretty tight for our family of 5 but it worked! My only complaint in that regards to that was we couldn't do a movie night without 2 people either laying in the floor or sitting at the kitchen table. All in all we had a great time and the owners did a great job offering the right amenities and communicating (I even followed their Instagram page for ideas!) thanks for sharing your property with us!

Summary: The family had a great 9 days of rest and relaxation in the Northwoods – couldn’t have asked for better June weather to enjoy the views. The cabin has a perfect view of the lake through the shady trees while still having quick access to the lake using the multiple paths. The remodel that has been done on the cabin was amazing, we fell in love as soon as we opened the door. The wildlife on the lake and surrounding area was like no other Northern WI trip the family has been on. Best of all we were able to see the eagles and loons with baby all while enjoying morning coffee while sitting in the chairs right on the lake. Scott and Coutney were a pleasure to work with from booking the cabin all the way through the checkout ☹ – THIANK YOU for sharing this beautiful cabin with our family

Summary: Cabin and lake were a perfect getaway from the city. Family had a blast kayaking and fishing on the lake, campfires in the backyard and hiking local trails. Hosts were super informative and helpful with ideas of things to-do in the area. Would recommend staying if heading to this area.
