Positive: The valet parking was very convenient, with a simple QR code system to request your car when needed. The room itself was spacious, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed with a door connecting the bathroom to the bedroom closet. It was also exceptionally quiet, helped by the hallway doors that block noise from the lobby and by being tucked away at the end of the hall. The on-site Public restaurant was a great option for breakfast at a reasonable price, and the bar was perfect for a convenient nightcap. The hotel’s location made it easy to walk to some excellent nearby restaurants. Check-in was smooth, staff were friendly, and check-out was quick and simple. Overall, the combination of comfort, quiet, and convenience made for a pleasant stay.
Negative: For the price—nearly $1,000 for the stay—I was surprised to be placed on the first floor, and I would have appreciated being asked if that was acceptable during check-in. While the location of the room at the far end of the hallway turned out to be quiet, the view of a parking garage wasn’t appealing. The valet parking was $40 a day, which seemed high, though I’m not sure how that compares to other hotels in the area. Breakfast was decent but not memorable. None of these were deal-breakers, but for the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of room placement and overall dining quality.
Summary: I'll probably look to stay elsewhere if I return to the city, but over all a quality stay.
