James Gott Homestead built in 1809 ,lovingly renovated with an eye towards retaining the beautiful aspects of this downtown Rockport home while adding the amenities that guests require. This house has wide”king pine”floors, huge windows with the original ripple glass looking out on Rockport Harbor. We have added a beautiful granite kitchen with dishwasher,two brand new tiled bathrooms one with a washer and dryer, heated with a state of the art environmentally friendly gas boiler/ hot water on demand system and central air conditioning for those hot summer nights.There is a brick patio with seating for six, a gas grill and gas fire table for nighttime fun & to toast marshmallows . There are two tandem parking places provided you might not even move your car we are 5 minutes from all the shops,restaurants and entertainment downtown. A mear 15 minute walk to Front Beach or Old Garden Beach.This is the perfect Rockport location!

Summary: We had a great time in Rockport. The house is easy walking distance to Bearskin Neck and Old Garden Beach. Very convenient having two parking spaces to leave the cars whenever we were wandering around the town (what a town!!) or settling in for the night. It's clear everything has just been updated. Everything is clean and the house is well supplied.

Summary: This home is seconds away from anything you want to do in Rockport. It's also beautifully clean and decorated in a straightforward, modern way. An easy walk to the headlands and the cliffs over the sea; easy to take kids to front and back beach; easy to get dinner in town. We were very happy there.

Summary: I stayed here from March through the end of June with my three young children. The owners have done an incredible job of adding updated touches to this property while keeping the integrity and charm of its original state! It is a lovely place in the perfect location! They were very friendly and responsive and I would stay again in a heartbeat!
