Positive: This is really quirky accommodation but we enjoyed staying there. Our host was very helpful showing us where to park the car safely once we had unloaded. Our particular accommodation was up several flights of stairs, which is totally fine if you're able bodied. The rooms themselves were spotlessly clean. The double bedded room though was up a steep flight of steps to a mezzanine with no curtain. It was perfectly comfortable, but if you need to get up in the night for the bathroom it could have been a bit precarious. The shower cubicle is very compact but everything worked well. It was a good 20 minute walk into the City, which we loved.

Positive: We walked everywhere from San Miguel, though I believe there was a bus nearby. Language was a barrier but we managed ok and there was a great restaurant next door. Our host did his very best to help and booked us a taxi to the station.

Negative: Initially we thought we were too far out on a busy road but neither of these issues gave us any trouble. It was quiet at nighttime and we found our way to all the places in Vicenza that we wanted to visit.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at San Miguel.

Positive: The maisonette apartment was very nice. Welcoming staff at the reception. Good location. A very good restaurant nearby.
