Positive: Very close to the airport and clean
Negative: I arrived after midnight and had to wait for security to let me in. This is less than ideal especially when you have been travelling all day. The air conditioner did not work and it was extremely hot

Positive: great start to CR. Very close to airport. walking distance to car rental.
Negative: under that name unknown for taxi drivers. its in the same building complex than the AC Mariott.

Positive: Spotless. Convenient. In-Unit Laundry. This hotel is within 10 minutes of the airport and 10 min to all the places you can pick up rental cars. It was a perfect place for us to go after long incoming flights and the rental car pick-up. There is huge underground parking garage for your rental car if needed, and a central covered indoor-outdoor space for casual dinner. They have fixed restaurant options with different "food trucks" under an indoor-outdoor dining roof, and the whole things has luxury feel (it's not "street food"). It's very family-friendly. While nobody goes to CR for the Starbucks, having food and coffee available basically at all hours made travel very comfortable. I wasn't interested in spending time in San Jose, so this was the perfect way to land, get organized, eat, sleep very well, then leave early for daytime driving to La Fortuna.
Negative: Nothing really, but I do recommend that you have your reservation on your phone. We drove the rental car down to the parking garage, and they looked at the reservation, helped us park, and then kindly escorted us up to reception with our bags to help us get our keys.
Summary: Incredibly comfortable, clean, convenient, 10 min from airport and all rental cars, perfect stop!
