Positive: The location is superb within walking distance to the major sites in the walled city. The owner lives next door and was attentive without hovering. The kitchen was stocked with coffee for the Italian expresso maker, milk, orange juice and pastries as well as the usual kitchen items. The property was clean and comfortable.
Negative: I found nothing. wrong. I will mention that it is 2 flights up so it would be difficult for those who are mobility impaired.
Summary: Great location, great host and great apartment.

Positive: It was homey. The owner clearly enjoyed decorating with vintage furniture finds and old paintings and crockery.
Negative: We were not able to open the window because it might rain. We could have used the fresh air. The room was on the second floor which meant 4 LOOONG flights of stairs. We were offered assistance about half way up with our luggage. The toilet was behind a glass enclosure that was a bit too close to the front of the bowl. It was not comfortable trying to get up without hitting your head.
Summary: Loved the walled city. It was an experience.

Positive: Exceptional location - about as good as it gets in Lucca. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable, if a little dated. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked Valerio is a very friendly and helpful host.
Negative: On arrival, lugging heavy suitcases up two floors is not easy, although I appreciate that this is unavoidable in an old historic building.
Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would love to return some day.

Positive: The accommodation was beautiful - it felt like you were properly in old Italy, but with modern convenience. The breakfast supplies and additional food that were left were also delicious. I can’t thank Valerio enough for all his help during my stay - from sorting the WiFi, to helping me get my bags down the stairs and finding me a taxi - he went above and beyond. Thank you!

Positive: The room is large and comfortable and very clean. Valerio was a brilliant host and happy to help with anything. He picked us up at the airport for a small fee which made finding the apartment very easy. He even provided Gluten Free foods for me which was so thoughtful. And did our washing. We loved our stay.

Positive: Valerio is a very kind and helpful host. The apartment is big but all in 1 single room. Amenities and kitchen staff are extraordinary. Bathroom very good. If you are travelling with bicycle you can keep it in the entrance hall (not always allowed in Italy) Views and interiors look much better than in the photos.
Negative: Maybe a bit too much overdecorated
