Conveniently located on the north end of the Cape, our home includes dedicated private access to the white sand beaches of Cape San Blas and private access to St Joseph Bay for those who enjoy snorkeling for shells and scallops (in season), as well some of the best bay fishing to be found. Bring your kayak and paddle boards! Two public beach access points are just minutes away, both north and south.
The top floor screened deck is the perfect area to toast amazing sunsets. Is sunrises are your passion, go onto the small, north deck or take the short walk to the bay and be amazed. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is 1.5 miles away, offering a scenic glimpse into the Cape before being settled. Take the Hammock Trail for an education into the Cape flora. The trail is just inside the park entrance.
Port St. Joe and Apalachicola are a short drive from the Cape and offer amenities of small towns. Apalach even has a brewery! Each town has it's own eating establishments and the Cape has a few. Longbill's and Coneheads are less than a mile to the north, Peachy's is next to the Trading Post to the south. The Cape Trading Post and Scallop Cove offer last minute grocery and adult beverages. The "Post" has an attached liquor store. Don't miss a trip to Weber's Little Donut Shop next to the "Post", where a dozen are just not enough, but go early; the line sometimes forms at 5:30AM for a 7:30 AM opening and yes, they are that good.
Bring your binoculars for bird watching and for night sky gazing off the north side top deck. On a clear night, the milky way is visible and the limited light pollution of the Cape brings stars right to your fingertips.

Summary: We had a great stay at Resting Beach Face. The home and landscaping were beautiful. The access to beach and bay are both easily accessible. We rented kayaks and fished bay daily and caught several fish from the homes bay access. I couldn’t have been more happy with the host (Darryl’s) quick responses and helpful information. We’ve been coming to Cape for about 23 years and have to say this was one of the most comfortable and enjoyable stays we’ve had. Couldn’t have been more pleased! I highly recommend this home couldn’t have went smoother from making reservation, to check in, and checking out!

Summary: This was the cleanest and most well stocked rental we have stayed in. Hosts have provided everything you would ever need for a great beach vacation. All furnishings from sitting to sleeping are top grade and sooo comfortable. About a 5 minute walk to beach and bay with an ocean view.Highly recommend !!

Summary: We just returned from our annual spring break trip at Cape San Blas! Resting Beach Face is by far the cleanest, well stocked rental we have stayed at on the cape. Darryl has spared no expense to make your stay enjoyable.

Summary: Great house! Very well equipped, kitchen utensils, towels, beach chairs, everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation. Beds were comfortable. Location is great, one block from the bay and two blocks from the beach. We had a wonderful stay at Resting Beach Face!!

Summary: This house was in a great location and housed the 6 of us with space to spare! Kitchen was well appointed and we cooked a lot! Short walk to the beach too! We will be back next year.

Summary: Our young family had a wonderful stay at Resting Beach Face! We were pleasantly surprised by the house when we arrived. The house is very well stocked. We stayed for 3 nights and didn’t need to buy any of the basic necessities. They even have beach carts, chairs, umbrellas and canopies for guests to use and they are in great condition. The house is just a short walk to private beach access. Our 3 & 5 year old were easily able to walk to and from the beach. We loved that we could see the bay from the house as well! And great communication with the homeowners! They even left new beach toys for the kids! Nothing to do with the house, but we didn’t love that cars could drive on the beach.

Summary: This property is a 10 out of 10. The sunset views from the upper patio are amazing! Darryl was extremely helpful and the house provides everything you need except for food. We will be coming back!

Summary: Our VRBO experience was hands down the best! Daryl was available to answer questions at all hours and provided us with everything we needed. This home was fully stocked with every appliance you can think of and a dream place to call home for your next trip! Having both beach and bay side access was a highlight of our trip. Having access to both sides was convenient if tide was high on beach side and we wanted the kids to play in the water/sand on the bay side. The amazingly relaxing two porches was peaceful. The location was beyond perfect for our family to access both sides. Beds were better and more comfortable than my own back home. The outdoor shower was great to rinse off. We felt super safe and happy with Daryl’s place “Resting Beach Face” We will definitely stay here again! This home was super clean and organized!!!!
