This Historical Farmhouse offers a quiet, country getaway perfect for family and friends. You can experience a true farm setting with chickens, sheep, goats, llamas and more! A huge wrap-around covered porch offers views of barns, 3 acres of pastures, the private fishing pond, and the beautiful Mohican Forest. Inside, there is a king bed in the 1st main floor bedroom, 2 queen beds, a full bed and 2 twin beds in 3 bedrooms upstairs. An optional cottage serves as a 5th bedroom with a queen bed and sleeper sofa. There are two full bathrooms, a large kitchen equipped with everything you would find at home, a dining room with a farmhouse table that seats 8, a huge leather sectional in the living room overlooking a gas log fireplace with a 50"TV on the Mantle. A rustic round barrel table seats 6-8 and is a perfect spot for a card game while watching TV. A large screened in back porch leads to a back deck that looks out over the back pastures with llamas. Trails start in the back yard of the farmhouse and will take you through miles of the Beautiful Mohican Forest and even into the State Park where you'll find a covered bridge, beautiful overlook and natural waterfalls. Nearby, you'll find canoe liveries, horse back riding, zip lining, Malabar Farm, Snow Ski resort, Pontoon Boat Rentals at Pleasant Lake and Amish Country shopping and food.

Summary: Beautiful property to relax and unwind. The kids loved all of the animals on site and spent as much time as they could outside. Close to Mohican and just a short drive to Amish country! Owner was very responsive and prompt. No complaints at all!

Summary: It was ever thing we wanted and more. The house was cozy and comfortable, the animals were friendly and fun. It really felt like a home away from home. Will definitely be back.

Summary: Comfortable and cozy home, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable seating and beds, and the first VRBO I have rented for which I didn’t say, “I wish they had a______.” The owners have thought about most everything a guest may need that a host can reasonably provide. And the animals are a special treat. My granddaughters and really, all my adult children as well, enjoyed feeding them and watching their antIt’s as they jockeyed for the best positions to get at the food provided by the owners. An important note: there are barn cats that hang out on the porch but they do not go in the house and my allergic kiddos didn’t have any trouble in the house. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and large sectional sofa where we all could fit and sitting around the large farm table together for meals. The owners even welcomed our dog! I highly recommend this lovely home.

Summary: Our family gathered and stayed in the Restored Farmhouse mid November. The property was beautiful! We enjoyed feeding, petting and watching all the animals living on the farm. Several people in our group enjoyed fishing in the small pond. We brought our own firewood and spent the chilly afternoon around the fire pit - lots of s'mores and laughs! The kitchen was well appointed and had all of the things we needed to prepare and enjoy meals together. There were plenty of kitchen and bath towels available, and the beds were pretty comfortable. We were able to use our personal streaming accounts to watch college football games and boxing on the large television in the family room too. Our family was able to relax and enjoy our time together at this property! A few important things to note: We arrived after dark, coming from the east side of the county. We did not have a house number, and did have some trouble finding the property. Inside the house, beware of the steep steps going upstairs. There are trip hazards at the top of the steps too. Maybe most importantly to note, we were unaware that the upstairs bedrooms were all semi-private as you have to move through the connected bedrooms to use the bathroom and to go downstairs. Before arriving, we were also not aware there was an extra up-charge to use the cottage bedroom on property. Overall, we enjoyed this property and made great memories there as a family. Thanks for a great stay!

Summary: My family loved our long weekend visit. We enjoyed peaceful starry nights around the firepit, several activities at or near Mohican State Park (apple picking, hiking, horseback riding) and the hours of entertainment from the farm animals and outdoor cats. The teens and their friends hung outside feeding and playing with the animals. It was also beneficial to have a full-sized kitchen with all the amenities to prepare & serve meals and comfortable living areas to relax at our leisure. It was a much needed respite for our family and I would absolute return.
