Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay on the Patuxent River. Just 45 minutes from the DC Capitol and Annapolis. Property features a Historic pre 1800's 3 bedroom 2 bath home that has been recently updated. Pool house is setup as a studio apartment with a modern kitchen, bath and additional washer and dryer.
This location is hard to beat. Private dock with boat lift and 20' Sea Ray Sport boat with tube available as a separate rental. Large Pool with 2 covered patios. 1 patio is an outdoor bar / kitchen and the other an outside dining area. Large covered rear porch with swing to enjoy an evening's sunset that can't be beat over the west facing river.
Nature abounds with lots of birds and wildlife to view. Cast a line into the river and catch dinner, drop a basket and bring in your own crabs. Take a short drive to Chesapeake Beach and enjoy the waterpark restaurants and gaming just 15 minutes down the road. North beach has good restaurants as well and is just 5 minutes north of Chesapeake Beach.
Head to Calvert Cliffs to hunt for shark teeth. See the many parks throughout Calvert County.
10 Minutes to Dunkirk Town Center, wawa, Harris teeter, Walmart, Giant and a great Park / Playground.
Solomons Island is a 45 min ride south. 55 minutes to Navair.

Summary: We had a wonderful time. The house is quiet and removed, but convenient for shopping for necessities. We caught lots of catfish and had the mother of all crab cakes at Jerry’s!

Summary: This house is a gem! Very nice older house, and a nice modern pool house and pool. The dock is a great place to relax, fish or crab and an easy spot to go paddle boarding or launch boats. The Sunsets are awesome to catch from he pool or dock and its a great area to have an evening fire. The owners were very responsive and the boat rental was really nice. Overall, the Patuxent River was a great place to get out and boat and be on a tube. Definitely consider this stay!

Summary: Wonderful place for a family vacation. Both the house (and pool house) were roomy and comfortable, the property was beautiful and the pool areas was perfect for our family. Everyone from ages 3 to 70 were sad to leave.

Summary: This is the perfect property for a family gathering. The children and grandchildren stayed in the main house and my husband and I had the wonderful pool house! Cooking outside on the patio in the shade was a real treat. Great location right by a beautiful river with exquisite sunsets. We caught crabs and many catfish right on the dock at the property! Very clean and well equipped. We want to go back!!! Thank you to our host!

Summary: From beginning to end our travels were wonderful. Communication with the owner was quick and responsive. The history of the house should be written down for all travelers to know. The pool, extra room, wildlife and atmosphere were just what we needed. Farm markets and wineries are close by. Beaches, restaurants and history laden cities are but a drive away.
