Negative: Property looking a little bit tired Paint falling off, mould on the bathroom ceiling. When we was ready to check out was told if we paid by by card, we would have to pay an extra 2% for card fees we was not made aware of this before booking. Property is not very well signed posted took over 30 minutes to find and is a little bit daunting when you first get that down a very dark alleyway.

The terrace is a nice bonus, and the staff are wonderful—especially Morad, who went above and beyond, even arranging takeaway breakfast for early departures.

Negative: There are a few minor downsides to note. The rooms can feel a bit humid due to the lack of outside windows, and noise can carry easily as the walls, doors, and windows are quite thin. The bed was on the firmer side, and the pillows were quite flat, which may not suit everyone’s preference. Additionally, the riad can be a little difficult to find at first—having a plaque or clearer signage on the street would be helpful. Overall, Riad Dar Alma and Spa offers a warm, authentic experience with excellent service, and we would happily stay here again.

Negative: The hammam experience was a bit strange - we were showered down and scrubbed in a small room in the corner of the ground floor with a reusable glove on a heated sponge mat, didn’t seem very hygienic.
