Positive: Location is good. A bit kind of hard to find this riada, but all the rest was perfect.The owner of riada offer us laundry for free as a gift from them, which is so kind. Thank you host for everything.

Positive: The location is perfect. Not too far into the Medina, quite easy to navigate there and back to the main road (4 mins). Plenty of outstanding Riad restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The welcome and service and hospitality is excellent. Smiles, happy to help. Some quite good English is spoken by a could of staff otherwise French or Arabic. The Riad itself inside is beautiful and all you can imagine in a home built over 240 years ago. The centre courtyard is covered with double glazing so its bright and comfortable. We stayed in one of the ground floor rooms which was comfortable great bathroom shower and easy to access by opening the door straight to the courtyard and your breakfast table merely a metre away. As a traditional in these buildings there is a staircase going up and around on a second floor and a lovely roof terrace beautifully decorated and bright colours although the views of course are over the rooftops but nevertheless itโ€™s a lovely place to chill out with plenty of shade and sunny areas and tables and chairs. Itโ€™s particularly pleasant in the evening to get a chill in the air if itโ€™s too hot. The breakfast was traditional wholesome and very well presented and you can ask for a range of extras during opening hours up until 10 pm normally for hot water cold drinks et cetera in bottles The location is ideally located for the main attractions, including 10 minutes to the river and the sea and the Souk etc are all within easy walking distance This was very much a wonderful Moroccan experience and I highly recommend this accommodation. Itโ€™s great value and the whole team and the cat, are so friendly and hospitable

Positive: Traditional style building in a quiet street of an otherwise busy medina. Rooms are around a central patio, were not huge but well equipped and comfortable with all amenities that we needed, and most furniture have a lovely local design that adds a special charm to your stay. Family is exceptionally welcoming and attentive, on our first night they even waited for us to make sure we can get back to the place safely. Breakfast is rich and prepared locally in mostly Moroccan style, we loved it. There are several terraces on the rooftop to chill out, or just check on the medina from above. House is well covered by wifi. There are quiet hours in the evening so nights are really quiet and can relax in peace. Location is very good - you are in a more quiet street in the historic center, but in a short walk you can find plenty of shops and places to eat, and you can immerse yourself in the busy buzz of the Rabat medina. Pretty much all major sights of the city are in walking distance so we did not drive around within the city, just walked everywhere, and it worked perfectly.
Negative: Note that if you come by car, then parking can be a challenge, as the medina is very popular especially in the evenings. There is a paid parking by the port area where we always could park, and costs only 75 dirh per day, so not an issue, just good to know. It is not possible to drive up to the apartment by car.

Positive: Quaint feel of a staying in a riad in medina. Generally helpful and friendly staff. Great rooftop terrace with lovely sitting areas.
Negative: Would have preferred an electric kettle and a mini fridge. We got a ground floor which directly opens onto the main breakfast area so upper floors would have been better for privacy.

Negative: Too noisy at night. Noise from People talking late into the night. Flooding in the bathroom, with no towels to mop up, or bath mat. Very risky moving about in the bathroom.

Positive: We had a beautiful room off the rooftop terrace, and felt completely comfortable. Shaima met us at the gate to the Medina on arrival, and took very good care of us for the four nights we stayed at the Esmeralda. The entire Riad is full of wonderful artwork and colourful fabrics. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of warm bread, eggs, yoghurt, fruit, honey and spreads, and coffee. Our only suggestion is that the bathroom garbage be emptied every day without having to ask.
