Summary: We chose Riad Hikaya to celebrate my 40th birthday, and it was one of the best decisions we made during our trip to Morocco. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness, and as a wonderful surprise, we were upgraded to a beautiful mini suite. The riad is a peaceful oasis hidden from the busy streets of Marrakech, with stunning Moroccan architecture, beautiful rooms, a tranquil courtyard, rooftop terrace and immaculate attention to detail. My birthday couldn’t have been more perfect. We started the morning with a hot air balloon flight before returning for breakfast beside the pool while I opened my birthday cards. We then relaxed on the rooftop before enjoying the riad’s own hammam and spa. The ladies were incredible, providing an authentic and immersive experience, finished with one of the most relaxing massages I’ve ever had. That evening we enjoyed exceptional Moroccan food before the team surprised me with a delicious chocolate birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday. Returning to our room to find a beautiful bouquet of roses, rose petals arranged into “40” and thoughtful turn-down service made an unforgettable day even more special. Every member of staff went above and beyond, and their genuine hospitality made us feel like family rather than guests. Thank you for making my 40th birthday truly unforgettable.

Summary: Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Someone was available 24/7 to provide. There were no set times for breakfast- available instantly when you wanted it. Breakfast was typically orange juice, tea or coffee, fruit salad with homemade yoghurt, pancakes, toast, eggs/omlette and a slice of a different morrocan cake each day (2nd servings of all available). The food on an evening was freshly cooked and of a high standard. The Riad is 15 minutes walk from the centre of the Medina, which means it is much quieter.

Summary: There are not enough words to explain how wonderful Riad Hikaya is. It is truly a remarkable establishment and was, hands down, the highlight of our trip to Marrakech. The service was impeccable and personal. The room was incredibly comfortable and welcoming. And the rest of the Riad was beautifully appointed. Our first night there we arranged for a dinner by the pool in the courtyard and it was the best meal we had our entire trip. I really wish we had chosen to eat in every night because all the other establishments we visited paled in comparison. Breakfasts were decadent. After the busyness of Medina, Riad Hikaya felt like a retreat to peace and refuge. If I could give it six stars I would.

Summary: On arrival (the Riad sorted return taxis at a great price), served with traditional mint tea and homemade baked goods - such a lovely attention to detail. Facilities fantastic, entirely bespoke rooms and beautiful decor. Turndown service and daily cleaning were immaculate. Breakfast delicious - fresh coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and omelettes made to order. Staff were all so accommodating, kind and enthusiastic. I was travelling solo, staying at Riad Hikaya whilst friends stayed at another hotel, however I definitely feel I lucked out with my choice to stay here. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Summary: We stayed in a few different riads throughout our time in Marrakesh and this one was so beautifully decorated, with plenty of common spaces to mingle, eat, relax. We loved the rooftop, even in chillier weather. The decor is so beautiful throughout the riad and we loved our room.
