Positive: Excellent communication from the booking until we left. Gaelle was extremely helpful with every detail and very knowledgeable about the local area too. The Riad is beautiful, the staff are just lovely, all of them greeted us with a smile and were so helpful. We were staying for a very special vow renewal for my husband and I and we brought our children (grown) with us and took over the Riad. After we had been there a day my eldest hugged me with emotion and thanked us for bringing her to such a magical place. Our rooms were all different and interesting and we loved the quirkiness of this Riad, it's very special. The breakfasts were yummy and we had one evening meal there and it was delicious. It also is in a good location for some wandering through the winding pathways to find the souks it was great fun.Thank you so much Gaelle and Team we would highly recommend this wonderful Riad.

Negative: There wasn't a thing we didn't like, we loved it all. This is no knock on the Riad at all, but just to be ready that you are in Morocco and as you immerse yourself into a Riad rather than a hotel then the surrounding area is different. You can visibly see the poverty but this did not avert us from a very special stay at Riad Laila.

Positive: The property was stylish, calm, quiet and clean. The roof terrace was a sun trap where we spent hours chatting and reading. Breakfast was good and the staff were attentive and helpful. They spoke good English . The location is about 25 minutes from the main square and only a couple of minutes from where a taxi can collect and drop off. It was nice to be a few streets from the madness! The pool is a lovely addition although only one of our party was brave enough to go in! I bet it’s lovely in the warmer months.

Negative: We were unable to have showers when we wanted on a couple of the days. Apparently there was a burst main yesterday but again this morning, there was only a trickle of cold water and the pressure was so low that I had to sit on the floor to wash and wasn’t able to wash my hair. Staff left a tip box on our bed on the morning of our departure whilst we were at breakfast . I found this distasteful. We were going to leave tips anyway. It made me feel that their friendly, helpful behaviour had been inauthentic and transactional. Shame.

Summary: Really nice riad where you will be comfortable, safe and well looked after.
