Located less than a mile to the Granite Peak ski lift, this beautiful home at the base of Rib Mountain is a dream for anyone coming to our beautiful area to enjoy the outdoors. No matter the time of the year, this house is the perfect launchpad for skiing, hiking, biking, fishing or just exploring the many activities and beautiful scenery we enjoy here in the Wausau area. With a large fenced in backyard, the kiddos can safely have the run of the backyard. Located less than a mile to the Granite Peak ski lift, this beautiful home at the base of Rib Mountain is a skier’s dream.
This amazing house comfortably sleeps 10 guests in 4 bedrooms. There are three full bathrooms and three large living areas that offer space for everyone to spread out. . Preparing meals is easy with an open floor plan in the kitchen and dining area. The deck and gas grill are right off the kitchen, as well, and there is a large fenced in backyard for all to play in.
The recently updated open concept kitchen on the main floor features a gas stove, granite countertops, and island. It opens up to a large dining table and living space with television. On this same floor are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The lower living space offers a large living space where everyone can gather and watch a game or movie on the 85” television screen. There are two more bedrooms on this level, one with a queen bed and another with three extra-long bunk beds for six people. Another bathroom and the laundry room are also on this lower level.
There is lots of room in the garage for storing your skis and gear. Two vehicles can park in the garage, and two in the driveway.
You’ll feel like you are in the country in this quiet neighborhood, but it is only a few minutes to restaurants and grocery stores, as well as boat landings and hiking trails.

Summary: Spent four nights with my sister from GA & niece from CA while visiting other relatives in the Wausau area (south of Wausau, actually). We did not spend much time at the house, but we were very pleased with it. It was very clean, plenty of room, beautiful backyard, nice neighborhood, easy to find and very homey. It is perfectly located if you are in town for skiing or enjoying the fall colors on Rib Mtn. We found the beds comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and towels. Communication was quick & pleasant. No issues. Will definitely keep this house bookmarked for future renting.

Summary: Our experience couldn’t have gone better. The home is updated, very modern, and in excellent shape. It is also perfectly situated. Additionally, Lesli is a perfect host. Our time in Wausau couldn’t have gone better and having this as a home base really helped make our weekend.

Summary: This place was perfect for our family ski trip. Plenty of room to spread out and comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked with amenities from basic condiments to every kitchen gadget desired…..a table big enough for dining and playing games. A great set up for multi family group. we were impressed with all the hooks, towel bars and boot trays. The dryer came in handy for wet clothing from a day of skiing and use of the garage was a plus. Perfect spot and responsive host. Highly recommend!!

Summary: We had a large group of adults and one teenager come to go skiing and snowboarding at Granite Peak. This house is just a few minutes from the hill. The house was really nice and had more than enough space for our group. Everything was very clean and had tons of room for us to leave our boots on trays by the front door. We will definitely try to book this house again next time we make this trip!

Summary: This property was amazing for 3 generations of ladies! There was a great space for the kids downstairs. The beds were so comfortable- the bedding felt really luxurious. Everyone loved it! The kitchen was really well stocked- we made breakfast and dinner and it was perfect. Check out was the easiest of anywhere I've rented. Thanks for sharing this home with us!
