Positive: Fabulous location and views! These guys are the perfect b&b hosts - both attentive and entertaining. We had dinner on Friday night which was beautifully cooked and presented and both the cooked and continental breakfasts were lovely. Spacious rooms, huge comfy bed, lovely ensuite and nice little finishing touches. Thanks Gary & Robert!
Negative: Nothing to dislike.

Positive: The hosts went over and above to make us welcome and help in any way possible. The setting was beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast was exceptional. The beds were extremely comfortable.
Negative: It would be helpful to have some basic cooking facilities or plates/cutlery in our room but I realise this is not how a bed and breakfast service usually works. I am also sure the hosts would have provided cutlery or plates if we had asked but it wasn't essential so we didn't. There were facilities to make hot drinks in our room.

Positive: Overall we spent 5 nights at Gary & Robert's place both on our way in and out of Christchurch. Honestly, this was probably the best stay I had during all my travels and definitely during our NZ South Island trip. It's not only about the view from the rooms, the tranquility, the hot tub and the two good natured collies Fraser & Cora - this place deserves 5 stars and above because Gary and Robert make such excellent hosts. I miss you already. ❤️

Positive: If we could give Ribbonwood more than 10 points, we would. Gary and Robert are warm, welcoming hosts who have carefully considered the needs of their guests and created a very special place to stay. The property, garden and views are all stunning, the rooms are beautiful and so comfortable, and breakfast is terrific. We loved every moment of our stay and very much hope to go back.

Positive: The location was lovely - a well maintained garden surrounded by tranquil rolling green hills with mountains in the distance. Robert and Gary were excellent hosts. They provided me with a room upgrade concerned that I might be woken by people returning home late. The room facilities were excellent and the breakfast provided a range of homemade jams and poached fruits grown on the premises.
Negative: Nothing.
Summary: A delightful stay which I wished could be longer.

Positive: Extremely hospitable couple Gary and Robert, and a wonderful view. Super comfortable stay and enjoyed every bit of our time spent at the country house. Love the attention to details for the stay and the thoughtfulness placed in everything provided. Glad we made the decision to stay at this property and have the honour to have met and learnt so much from Gary, Robert and the entire family of animals <3
