Positive: We had a great welcome and communication from the start. The location is stunning, and the breakfast was delicious. Arno gave us excellent tips for exploring the area. Renting a motor scooter was easy, and the roads are in great condition! The surroundings are beautiful, with amazing cabins full of thoughtful details. The staff was very helpful.

Positive: Rimba eco resort is first of all a beautiful place to stay: the lodges are all nice and privately (on different levels) situated on a hill side in the eco resort with a wonderfull view of Gn. Lokon and amidst the tropical garden.This garden is the work of the resort owner, Arno, who studied tropical forestry and can tell you lots about i! The communal area also has a spectacular view of the garden and gn. Lokon, and is a very relaxed place to stay. There's complementary coffee, tea, water, lots of games to play and a pool table. Kitchen is great and affordable, just like the overall stay. We liked the atmosphere in the communal area: there's always people (guests or locals) hanging out there, chilling. No worries it's no way near a party place, though if your lucky Arno might take you out with some of his local friends/other resort guests to the local bar ;) Be mindfull that the local churches/prayer calls/karaoke can be heard, depending on when and where you stay. It did not bother us though. What made our trip special, apart from the fact that the minahassa area is very nice and diverse, is the tips that Arno gave us and his stories. You can really tell he's passionate about his environment and Indonesia: he's respectfull towards local communities and knows about all the cool spots in the area. Definitely ask for his advice on tours; either guided, or he can make you a nice route on google maps which you can do yourself by motorscooter.

Positive: Nice and quiet place to spend a couple of days. The bungalows are placed on a slope and are surrounded by a lush garden with a nice view on Tomohon and Lokon. The Dutch owner Arno is very helpful and tries to provide a tailor-made advice to explore the region for everyone. The spacious restaurant building has a pool table and is a nice place to play a board game or to relax with a bottle of beer. The food is certainly not bad but some dishes could be tastier. I hope they will continue to maintain and improve biodiversity in this pleasant jungle style resort.

Positive: I was very impressed by the two owners, Arno and Angi, who were a wealth of information about the surrounding area but also incredibly welcoming - a trait extended to all the Rimba team. The main lounge area is quite something; a large wooden deck set in a beautiful bamboo and wood house, with an incredible view of the gardens and Lokon Volcanoe beyond. The food was outstanding, I particularly loved the Indonesian curry and satay dishes, just fabulous. Arno and Angi also took me and other guests to the local bar which played live music and it was great to get a feel for the local area. There are also bikes for rent and a range of outings for you to do, but also solo options. I'll definitely be doing a day package when I return! It's a home away from home, run by lovely human beings, supported by some wonderful pooches and cats, set amongst beautiful surroundings. Ten out of Ten.

Positive: Rimba Eco Resort has a perfect location if you want to stay close from Tomohon City and the main tourist places to visit (Danao Tondano, Waterfalls). The accommodation is very comfortable and beautiful. The breakfast is delicious! And the best of everything is the staff. Extremely kind, always available to make an unforgettable stay. Thanks, Arno!

Positive: We are so glad to have chosen rimba eco. The room was so nice. From the balcony we could see the volcano. And the room is very clean and comfy. We had an amazing experience doing the highland tour. Everything was beyond our expectations. Also the breakfast and dinner were so tasty! And big thanks to Arno and his wife for helping us with our travel incident. Also thanks to all the staff! Will definitely recommend this place to our friends.
