Summary: We were a multigenerational party of 8 and had a great time at this house. The location is perfect; the area has a lot to offer for a variety of interests (Placerville, rafting, Sutter Mill). However, we spent a few days just lazing on the river and relaxing, which appealed to all age groups. The house and property were as described on the website - no surprises. We especially valued the dining table where we could all eat together as well as a comfortable living room area where we could play games evenings. Jane was great and answered all our questions, and responded quickly during our stay as well. We would love to visit again!

Summary: Great riverside location. The property owner is the very close neighbor. Cute decor, comfortable. Nice shady porch, great view, Don’t damage anything, take a video of the house before you settle in so you don’t pay for damage someone else did.

Summary: Wonderful cabin for a group. A few minor issues at check in but our host was very helpful and communicative and help resolve them very quickly. Lots of fun toys, well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds

Summary: This was a great spot for a gathering. We rafted the upper the first day and the lower the second. The add-on king cottage was adorable!

Summary: Jane’s attention to detail made for a welcoming stay. We ate breakfast with a river view each morning. The cabin was spacious and beautifully decorated. We had a lovely family Thanksgiving.

Summary: We had another delightful stay at Camp Lotus. We miss it already! The location is awesome with great river access. We spent many hours floating in blissful quiet, though the kids had a blast rafting and it is fun to watch rafters sailing by on the weekend days. The house itself is well stocked and the owners take pride in the property. They have made many upgrades since last year including an added bathroom and better dishwasher! We also had guests stay in the cute little “barn” bedroom adjacent to the main house; there is a king-sized bed in there and a lot of privacy. We ate indoors in the air conditioned dining room, as well as outside on the deck with a river view. So nice! We kept our menus simple as counter-space in the kitchen is limited. All in all, it is a wonderful place to get away from it all. Thank you, Jane and Paul, for sharing this gem.
