Positive: Beautiful hidden gem. Fabulous location beside the river and in simply wonderful surroundings with the pond, trees and wildlife. Warm welcome from the owners and great welcome pack on our arrival. Comfortable accommodation with views of the countryside and pleasant surroundings. Close to Creswell Crags and Clumber Park

Positive: The accommodation is in a nice settlement, in calm, quiet, beautiful surroundings. The house is beautiful, equipped with all comforts and its surroundings and garden are wonderful. The reception was also very nice.

Positive: This is a magnificent place to stay. It is even nicer than it appears in the photos - with waterfalls, bridges and beautiful trees everywhere. It is truly magnificent. The owners are lovely and very helpful. There are lots of things to do close by - from the beautiful Cresswell Crags - a place of scientific and historic interest as it holds the oldest cave art in the UK to the delightful Harley complex, where you’ll find two art galleries, a lovely cafe, farm shop and a garden centre. The Portland Collection is a must for history fans -it has artefacts from Charles 1st’s execution, including the pearl earring that was in his ear! Art lovers will enjoy the Michelangelo drawing too.

Positive: The running river right side of the property-u feel at one with nature! The property was spotless and lots of extras like a hamper of goodies, fantastic accommodation and I was so grateful to be able to stay there.
Negative: After you cross the bridge on the left the grassy area has a lot of animals droppings-I don’t know if they were duck,dog etc but I sat down and realised I was surrounded! I instead went around and sat by the lake which the owners had made pristine. Don’t let this put you off going -but don’t go barefoot!!
