Positive: During my stay, the hotel was undergoing renovations, and I'm sure it will look beautiful once completed. The host is a kind and generous gentleman who truly cares about his guests. The caretaker lady is also very attentive and serves with genuine care. It’s a pleasant place located by the river, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim for fun.
Negative: For improvement, I suggest adding a cable TV, a mini fridge, and some tea/coffee-making facilities.

Positive: Divya, who maintains the villa, was a pleasant lady. Delicious food she prepared. The price for the food is ok. It is a pleasant environment.Easyacess. There are few public transport in the morning you can use to go to reveston Tower, Pitawala pathana and Manigala. you have to wait till the same bus return in the evening.
Negative: The price of the room is a little high. Basic toiletries were not provided.Little reluctant to accommodate the booking of who is living in Srilanka.

Positive: Our stay at this charming cottage nestled deep in the Knuckles jungle was nothing short of magical. The peaceful setting, surrounded by lush greenery, offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. A beautiful mountain river, Nikal Oya, runs along the edge of the property—its crystal-clear, ice-cold waters are ideal for a refreshing dip. We learned from the friendly owner that this is the highest altitude in the river suitable for bathing, which made the experience even more special. The hospitality was exceptional. The caretaker, Diviya, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. She personally guided us to a hidden mountain temple and the stunning Bambarakiri Ella waterfall, leading us through picturesque paddy fields along the way. Riverston Peak is just 9 km from the cottage, and watching the sunset from the mountain was absolutely breathtaking. If you’re looking to unwind, reconnect with nature, and explore some of Sri Lanka’s lesser-known natural wonders, this is the place for you. Public transport is also available nearby, which is a bonus for travelers without a car. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Riverston area!

Positive: The super friendly and very communicative owner gave good tips for hiking and showed us a nice waterfall nearby. Our highlight was that he organized a night-out in the village, showing us around the rice fields and the temple and serving us amazing local food in the village in the traditional way. If you are looking for a great local experience in the nature you came to the right place!

Positive: Riverston Nature Villa, Jaya's place was our rescue. We we're having the best night of our whole trip here. Jaya and caretaker women Diviya are of great hospitality. We enjoyed a evening by the bond fire, listening to music and talking. Jaya also took us to the town, cooked delicous food and taught us a lot about Sri Lanka. The place is very high standart and just a few meters from the river and the waterfall where you can swim. It is accessible by bus from Matale to Rattota and then further. It is definitly worth the detour. You can also Start many hikes in the Nuckles Forest Area from there. We we're happy that the found this place and Look Back with many happy memories.
