Take a break from the city, work remotely in nature or visit with family at our beautiful cabin, located in the Garden Bay, Pender Harbour area on the Sunshine Coast. Surrounded by lakes, mountains and ocean you will find endless beauty and adventure.
Outside, enjoy Mixal lake (5 mins walk away), your own canoe, 2 kids kayaks, spacious hot tub, bocce and croquet, fire pit, swing set, putting green, and golfing cage. Inside, enjoy sitting by a wood burning fire, playing board games, exploring the extensive video library, or cuddling up with Netflix.
The space
The cabin is quiet, secluded and snuggled at the base of a 200 foot rock face overlooking a tranquil pond. If you're lucky you can catch a glimpse of the local beaver or numerous turtles that call the pond their home. A beautiful community dock on the pristine and warm Mixal lake, is only a 5 minute walk from the cabin. You will have exclusive use of a canoe if you choose to take a break from sunbathing or picnicking on the dock.
The cabin in a small community of full-time owners (this is NOT a resort community). The cabin is surrounded by lakes, mountains and ocean - the recreational choices are abundant - marinas, golf courses, fishing, water sports, hiking and biking trails . . . they're all close by.
After a day exploring the area, unwind in front of a romantic fire or sit in peace and tranquility on the deck and enjoy the sounds of nature. End your day with a soak in the hot tub and a glass of wine or hot chocolate and marshmallows by the outdoor fire (not permitted during July & August and during any active fire bans outside of these months) - evenings are especially memorable with more stars than you could ever hope to see in the city.
The open plan layout features a modern and very well equipped kitchen overlooking the dining room and great room with wood burning fireplace. French doors from both the living and dining area open up to an expansive deck with breathtaking views of the pond. Your living area has an entertainment center with SmartTV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney and for nostalgia, a VHS/DVD player complete with a library of TV-series and movies.
Children and families are welcome. The cabin is equipped with kid-friendly amenities such as a swing set, trampoline, 2 kids life jackets (30-60 lbs), kids kayaks, pack n' play, booster seat, junior dining chairs (please request in booking), art table, bunk beds, books and toys. No need to bring much more than your clothes!
There are three bedrooms (2 queens and 1 bunk), a loft area (with queen bed) and two luxurious bathroom with slate floors and a walk-in showers with dual shower heads. In the master bathroom, relax after an adventurous day in the giant soaker tub.

Guest access
Guests will have access the entire property with the exception of a couple owner cupboards in the kitchen. The large outdoor shed will be available for storage of recycling and garbage only, but items in the shed are not for guest use.

Summer Rental Rules - FIRES
**Due to the increased frequency and risk of BC wildfires, including the Pender Harbour area, ALL summer rentals (JULY & AUGUST) will NOT be permitted to have outdoor fires (i.e. not permitted to use the outdoor fire pit) - regardless of local fire ban/allowances at that time of their rental. If found to use the fire pit there will be a:
- $250 fine per offence will be deducted from your damage deposit if there was no camp fire ban in place at the time
OR
- $500 deposit lost + additional $1000 fine and immediate rental termination without refund, if a camp fire occurs during a camp fire ban.
Any high-risk fire activities performed during the rental such as setting off fire works, open burning, etc will incur a $2500.00 ($500 of which will be damage deposit) and the rental will be immediately termination without refund.
