The great rock covers around 640 acres and stands about 425 feet above the surrounding land.

Summary: Unfortunately, we were sick during our entire stay, so we never saw anything except the view from the cabin and one trip to a grocery store. The cabin was cute, and the listing does warn you there’s no WiFi. Hot water was iffy - we had it, but the first shower never got warmer than lukewarm if you wanted any water pressure, and then the second person had to wait before showering. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was very small (natural in a small cabin) and seemed to have just the basics in terms of pots, pans, dishes. No Keurig, just a basic coffeemaker. Microwave was in a cubby under the counter- very little light in the kitchen so a cell phone flashlight came in handy for seeing the buttons. Not complaining, just setting expectations. We probably spent more time inside the cabin due to illness than most people would, so we noticed these things. My husband had hope to do some deep sky astrophotography, but sickness, and the light pollution from the full moon and the outside lights on the neighboring cabins made that a no-go. Also, the only other people there got everything ready for an outside fire, which would have made night photography impossible if they’d followed through. Overall, a cute, quiet place with a nice view for a couple of people. Enchanted Rock is a designated Dark Sky site, and these cabins might draw more astrophotographers if, during the week around the new moon, they replaced white outside bulbs with red and prohibited bonfires for spectacular night skies.

Summary: Liked: We loved that the location was very quiet and secluded. We were able to relax and enjoy the sunrise while watching the deer in the yard as well as disconnecting. The town was just a 20 minute drive and enchanted rock was about 5 minutes away. The cabins we're beautiful, cozy, and peaceful. Disliked: We found a dead rat, dust bunnies, a random sock behind the headboard, and dirty dishes stored in the cabinets which leads me to believe the cabin isn't thoroughly inspected and cleaned. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Summary: It was a very nicely built cabin with beautiful views and surroundings. Spotted a few deer around the property. I could not connect with the property manager prior to our stay. There was no WiFi which I did not realize until the day of our stay. Otherwise a nice place to spend a couple of days close to nature.

Summary: The cabin met all of my basic needs, and then some! I loved watching hummingbirds zip by for something to drink and deer come by for some feed in the yard, and I loved turning off the porch light and stargazing. <3

Summary: Very cute cabin in an awe-inspiring place. Not too remote, but just secluded enough. It was exactly what I was looking for. I was there to hike Enchanted Rock, but was able to take a little trip into Fredricksburg to get dinner and grab a bottle of wine.

Summary: I could not have asked for a more beautiful and peaceful weekend. The cabin was clean, all amenities were as they said on the reservation, and the view was spectacular. Check in and out was easy, Email communication was efficient and all notes to guests in the cabin were precise and easy to read. Having the deer come in and out to feed and roam the grass was certainly a plus for the kids. We also enjoyed swinging on the front porch at sunset. Thank you for a great vacation experience.
