Negative: Fridge was small and ice compartment instead of freezer meant had to shop regularly as limited space to keep food cold.

Positive: We loved this luxury lodge. It was clean, bright and airy, and super comfortable. It had everything we needed to self cater (though we brought our own coffee machine as I can’t be without a good coffee in the morning!). It had a sunny patio with a table and seating, a grassy garden for the dog, and good parking. Dogs are not allowed upstairs, so we slept in the downstairs bedroom. The lodge is on a private drive off a track which is a direct footpath up to the South Downs Ridgeway, above the white horse with astounding views right over the bay to Portland. We walked over to a lovely pub in Sutton Poynze this way. Osmington itself is extremely pretty, and has a cafe at the dairy which does fabulous soup and snacks. You can also walk right down to a stony cove, the coast path and another great pub at Osmington Mills. The circuit from Osmington, to Sutton Poynze, along to Osmington Mills and back (including two pubs and the dairy cafe) is roughly 10 miles and one of my favourite walks of the holiday.
Negative: It’s a push to find something we didn’t like, but if pressed I’d say there were no recycling bins except for glass, and the garden is not contained or fenced off. Our dog would not explore away from us, but without gates other dogs may escape the property with ease.
Summary: Fabulous lodge with amazing walks right on the doorstep.

Positive: Location Comfort of the beds and furniture Garden was nice Facilities were good quality
Negative: Pebble road on entry to property had pot holes and could do with being filled. Patio area outside of garden needed a clean along with the windows and and patio doors. Underneath the furniture in the dinning glass was found underneath the settee, when we brushed the floor to tidy. Also the furniture needed a clean, already having some marks on it when we arrived.
Summary: Lovely lodge that is modern and cosy with good facilities that is a good location.
