Positive: Perfect location and size for the purpose of our visit (husbands 70th birthday). House had character and the grounds were gorgeous. Children had a great Easter Egg hunt! We will definitely return. The only negative was I didn’t receive a reply to my queries which I felt was unprofessional.

Positive: The layout and space in and outside the house were perfect. The size of the rooms were great. Having two separate entertainment spaces was great, we used the big living room with the big comfy sofa on Sunday. The entrance is beautiful. Plenty of plates, glasses etc. seeing the deer in the morning was incredible.
Negative: It felt a little tired, the mattresses and bed linen were well used. Needs cleaning under the sofa in the pool table room, the oven needs a deep clean and condensation marks on the wall in the downstairs bathroom. When opening the windows some of the handles felt loose. These weren’t big things, and we would return but may get worse with over time.
Summary: The perfect house and location to celebrate my husbands birthday with all our friends.

Positive: Masses of space for everyone. Lovely setting with woodland walks.
Negative: Bone chillingly cold on arrival. The heating had been off all week and it was minus 3 outside. Contacted owner who said the heating would come on at 4:30. It didn't. The cold caused health problems for two of us. The owner came out some hours later and switched the boiler on, an error she said. It took a long time to heat the house but was wonderful when it did.
Summary: Fabulous property for big family gathering of mixed ages 1-75.

Positive: it’s in a beautiful location, very spacious everywhere, well equipped generally, good facilities throughout the house with games/toys/seating etc and nice and clean - perfectly set up for a big group with kids and dogs to spend time together and also have space inside the home, loved the outdoor space, pool privacy and deers in the morning at sunset too was lovely to see!
Negative: We were notified that the water may need heating but in fact the hot water in all but one shower was crazy hot so couldn’t use any other ones as we would be scolded, the kitchen was small for a large group to cook and we didn’t want to be in there on a relatively hot end of summer day as the arga in the kitchen made it exceptionally hot which I imagine is fab for winter but less so summer…..if someone is staying at the cottage attached next door it doesn’t feel very private at all as they can see in the kitchen and you share the outdoor space/pool area. Would be good to have left a few basics like bin bags, kitchen rolls and more dishwasher tablets for a large group like ours. we hope you like cockerels to wake you up at 5.30 too (nature at its finest though)
Summary: spacious, clean, really enjoyable group stay and plenty of facilities to entertain all!
