Positive: Robert, the host was exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. The little touches : Sheridan towels , coffee machine with quality coffee provided, ample milk, complimentary wine and mini drink cans was unexpected. The gift card ( because we did more than a 2 night stay ) was so appreciated as it added a beautiful touch for couples. Not to mention, a special request pick up from a local pastry shop with balloons was made to add a special touch for an element of surprise for a birthday. The sauna was installed prior to our check in and was unbelievably fantastic . Everything you need to relax , you do not have to leave the property. This really was a Romantic getaway with a day spa feel Can’t wait to go back
Negative: The bed was a little firm, but still quite comfortable. Lounges in the sunroom were a little uncomfortable. Could feel the bar at the back of the seat.

Negative: Booking.com sumerised my review at 3/5 which I don't understand as I gave the top score for most categories. I thought the stay was at least a 4.5 out of five stars I am a grumpy old man but I have nothing but positive things to say

Positive: Well kept, unique and very private comfortable.close to hiking and groceries. Really cozy and there is a great place to sit outside in the evening and enjoy the view. Great communication from the owner who made me feel welcome.
Summary: A great retreat, my only regret was that my wife wasn’t there to enjoy it with me.

Positive: Spectacular location, easy parking, great concept for small space,
Negative: I booked as 3 adults, and was bit surprised to find the "second bedroom" was really a "sleep-out" - mind you, quite a nice one. The lock on the outside door to secure this room was not properly aligned so this room could not be locked from inside or out; we weren't particularly worried as Stanwell Tops is a pretty safe place. However, speaking of locks, it was not possible to lock the door which connects to the Ocean View apartment from this one (Garden View).
Summary: Great stay; would do it again. Attentive host. Memorable in its location, design and facilities.
