This unique cottage--30' away from our home on a fenced, three-acre property--has its own entrance and its own parking space. The pool is shared with us, but you will have it to yourselves for most of the day--just ask for private time.
There are windows on three sides, a ceiling fan and a window fan.
The Berkshires in spring, summer and fall are alive with beauty, and we offer glorious views of the rolling hills and verdant meadows. Nature lovers, artists, writers and all who cherish tranquility will take particular delight in this unique spot.
Perfect for any couple (can accommodate a small child, too), this gem of a cottage offers a romantic break that will appeal whether you are an active hiker or biker, or just want to sit under the trees or by the pool with a good book and savor the unsurpassed scenery. You'll be on a secluded country lane, but only minutes from downtown Great Barrington with its restaurants, music, theater and shopping. It's an easy drive to all area attractions and great Appalachian Trail hikes. The area roads are also ideal for biking.

Summary: From the bottle of wine and ginger snaps upon arrival to the use of poles and snowshoes, Frederica and Efram were the consummate hosts. Their studio was private, quiet, and well appointed with everything that we needed (including dog bowls for our four-legged friends!). We had a lovely time in the Berkshires, thanks in large part to their hospitality. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: A lovely, private cottage with a beautiful view of the countryside. Very comfortable and cozy. It's great having a kitchen for not needing to eat out for every meal. Great walks are waiting for you outside the door. And there's a beautiful pool as well.

Summary: Frederica and Efrem have created a exceptional place to stay while visiting the Great Barrington area. The converted area below the garage includes a spacious, clean and well-appointed room with all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay, including a kitchen. The grounds are exquisite. The pool is wonderful. And the location is perfect for an evening at Tanglewood or visiting surrounding towns. We travel with our golden retriever and her crate. Frederica and Efrem were most accommodating. This is a place we would return to without doubt, and which we would recommend without hesitation.

Summary: My wife and I stayed here with our dog Lily, as we celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary. First time staying in The Berkshires. This was heavenly. The cottage was perfectly situated overlooking the mountains. And the POOL!. We loved it. During the day we would visit the towns-Great Barrington one day and Stockbridge the next. Afternoon was pool time! It was such a treat to be able to use it. It was a relaxing time. The cottage was perfectly roomy for the 3 of us. We felt comfortable. Great sleep after lots of outdoor activity. Frederica was awesome and we communicated many times before and during our stay to ensure all was good. And indeed it was. We would definitely love, love, love to return. Thanks so much Frederica and Efrem for letting us stay there. Very memorable!

Summary: My husband and I spent a wonderful week in this lovely property. It lived up to the outstanding reviews in every way. Gorgeous pastoral setting, tastefully decorated apartment furnished with everything we needed - and with a beautiful view. The pool was fabulous as was our host. She was very easy to communicate with and very kindly stocked the fridge with seltzers, water and coffee cream - as well as coffee and some other staples. She also provided a list of suggested restaurants close-by and some recommended walks- several of which were from the apartment. I can’t say enough about the setting- it is stunningly beautiful and serene. We highly recommend.
