Summary: We throughly enjoyed our stay so much and Eileen was a true saint! We got lost and were late meeting but she was an absolute dream and we loved being there. She took good care of us. The place is so quiet and relaxing and the village for dinner was great! Absolutely recommend staying here. Just be mindful the power is extra and for what ever reason vrbo doesn’t state this on the English site. That has nothing to do with this property and maybe one day vrbo will correct this but don’t let that deter you! No matter, it’s a perfect spot for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing getaway.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay here very much. The home caretaker Eileen was very friendly and helpful upon our arrival. There were very thoughtful touches like wood and turf for the fire, wine and some snacks. We loved the location. It is off of a very narrow road, which is typical for rural Ireland but worth mentioning. This is a great location from which to visit Killarney National Park and Rossbeigh Strand.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at this delightful cottage. It was very comfortable with exceptional attention paid to detail. Eileen was very helpful and kind. The location is ideal as a base for some beautiful excursions around the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle and the Beara Peninsulas, and Killarney National Park. We were sad to leave!

Summary: The property and home were beautiful. The manager was great and showed us the way. She supplied us with everything we would need. The cottage does not have a TV or Internet and was a wonderful break for us. We used the fireplace a few nights which was very romantic. Glenbeigh is a very nice town and we loved Ashes Pub and Emilies Bakery. The whole area is gorgeous! mh and jh

Summary: We much enjoyed our week at your immaculate cottage at Glenbeigh in September. However, there are a few things which we felt where not functioning as we might expect. They all involve the bathroom. We found that the immersion heater would only heat half the hot water tank irrespective of the “Sink/Bath” switch setting; this meant a bath of about only 50mm depth. We observed that sometimes when operating the “On/Off” or “Sink/Bath” switch a vivid blue flash could be seen. Most worryingly the back-box to the switch had multiple holes into which I could have pushed a finger. There appeared to be a problem with very restricted water supply (just a trickle) to the right basin; but the water supply at the left basin was fine. The bath taps where tough to turn on and off; the taps’ shower/bath lever was ineffective and the water pressure very low (as per right basin) The lavatory cistern took much time to noisily fill. This was again due to a very restricted water supply. The power shower head leaks more water from the hose connection rather than from the rose in the head. On an entirely different matter, we did not know exactly where we were staying. So despite being in good Mobile coverage we would have been unable to summon Fire/Ambulance/Garda to the cottage. Perhaps you might wish to put up a notice with a formal address which 112/999 would recognise.

Summary: We've had a great time in this beautiful and charming cottage. It is decorated with care and love and makes one feel at home right away! Many thanks to Mrs and Mr Melcher for sharing their house! We stayed there for a week and can only recommend booking this place if you want to spend some time near Ring of Kerry. Although very close to all attractions it's very quiet there, close to Rossbeigh Strand, shopping and restaurants / bars. Many thanks as well to Eileen who even waited for us as we were late!

The caretaker has provided for a lovely welcome paquet with wine, cheese etc.The surroundings are quiet, hardly any traffic. The supermarket in Glenbeigh is wel stocked for the general necessities. We missed a view, the cottage is surrounded by trees and a mountainslope. The sea and beach are ca.10 minute ride by car.
