NOTE -- Please give us an ACCURATE number of Adults and Children in your group. Port Aransas now has Occupancy Limits and the number of people is limited to 16. That assumes some children in your group. We have beds for at least 16 but that includes bunks, cots, couches and/or fold-outs for kids. Currently we have these beds -- Two Kings, Four Queen, One Double Bed and one twin with twin Trundle. Plus One Fold Out Couch, One Couch & Loveseat. Also two cots good for small adults or children.
If you are expecting a Golf Cart with your stay, that is not currently included no matter what you might see anywhere else.
We have a Tesla, so there is a 240-volt 32 Amp (NEMA 14-50) Plug at the Front of the House. It charges 30 miles of Range per Hour. Should work for other EV's as well.
Our houses are not run by a property management company, but is a family business. We live close by on the Texas Coast and equip our houses with everything we want for when we stay there. Also, No cast off or "hand me down" mattresses. All are good quality for when we and our friends and family stay there. We actually stay here full-time during the school year as our child attends Port Aransas Schools.
As you float across the Port Aransas Ferry or drive down the 15 mile stretch of Highway 361 from Corpus Christi, your troubles will slide off your shoulders and disappear. Once you arrive in Port Aransas, Texas, you are in a whole different world. “Island Time” will have a whole new meaning for you. Who would have thought that there would be such a wonderful place on the Texas Gulf Coast!

The Sandy Lane Getaway is a 5 bedroom plus bonus room house located around the corner from the beach in Port Aransas, Texas. This house is fully equipped with EVERYTHING you might need for your stay. You need only bring you self, food and clothes. We provide everything else including all linens, towels, pans, dishes, etc. There are not 5 cups, glasses and plates here. There is PLENTY of good plate, pans and utensils. If something necessary is missing, let us know.
We are KID and PET FRIENDLY!!! We have 5 kids of our own and have tried to include all the things to keep the kids entertained.
The Sandy Lane Getaway is a well equipped five bedroom house that has everything you need on your vacation! It has a large Master Suite with an over-sized shower and large tub. There are four other bedrooms with two having access to a Jack and Jill Bathroom.
What makes this house unique and GREAT for large family gatherings is the Bunk Room. The fifth bedroom is a HUGE 20 by 25 Bunk Room just for the kids and even has their own bathroom, sitting area with a large TV & DVD Player. With beds for at least 8-10 kids, the Bunk Room provides the kids their own private space to have their own fun without the adults getting in the way. The Bunk Room even has a private bathroom with shower upstairs.
Enjoy our three Flat-Screen TV’s and two Blu-Ray DVD players using our collection of DVDs. For the kids we have a Foosball Table, Air Hockey and Basketball game in the Game Room. We also have a 65 inch TV with direct TV and a ROKU in the upstairs Bunk Room.
Bring your boat! There are several boat launch very close by. Also, with your boat, you have easy access to Corpus Christi Bay, Red Fish Bay, and a number of other great fishing spots in the area and considered by all to have some of the best fishing on the Texas Coast!
For the wildlife enthusiast, there is an abundance of wildlife in the area. Port Aransas has a fantastic birding and wildlife area close actually within the city limits. For around $10, you can take a day trip to San Jose Island, a completely unspoiled island just across the ship channel to an area where no people live.
For the birding enthusiast, this area is teaming with a large variety of bird species including Black-necked Stilts, Ibis, Rosette Spoonbills, Reddish Egrets, Gull and Tern species, Least Turns, Rails and Snipe, wintering Geese, Sandhill Cranes and White-tailed Hawks. You might even see endangered Peregrine Falcons, Wood Storks or Brown Pelicans. There are a number of birding sites within a few miles of the house.
Rockport is a short drive away with museums, shopping, and antiques. Corpus Christi is also close by for a good day trip.
