Positive: Fantastic location. The property is set up well with beautiful decor and is comfortable. We stayed 7 nights (extending our stay by two nights due to loving it so much). We loved the location and the facilities. We utilised the kitchen to prepare meals throughout our stay. Located within walking distance to Urangan Pier and across the road from Shelly Beach, great for swimming and walking. The lounge and beds were comfortable and the balcony was great to sit out on and people watch and enjoy the views. Overall the cleanliness was great. The outdoor taps and shower are a great addition to use after returning from the beach. We had a fantastic meal at Tanoshi, the Japanese restaurant in Torquay, as well as some delicious fish and chips from Madigan’s in Torquay. We did the day away trip over to Fraser Island, and browsed the Torquay and Urangan Saturday markets. Visited the Botanical Gardens, and shopped at Stockland. Everything was easily accessible from Rosalynda.
Negative: Some suggestions for the property for host for future stays - adding some pegs. We had to buy our own as there were less than a handful at property. The washing machine is very temperamental with the digital screen and takes many attempts to start it. The air conditioning in the living area has a mind of its own and worked on some occasions and wouldn’t work on others. The bins were overflowing from previous guests and whilst the host added another bin, they were not emptied during our stay, so the smell and flies were unpleasant. The tiled floors throughout the property need a good clean. Walking barefoot inside the apartment made our feet black / dirty on each occurrence, so we found ourselves needing to wear socks / slippers throughout our stay.
Summary: Fantastic location. We will definitely be back to Urangan! Amazing week!
