Positive: You couldn't ask for a better location. We only stayed one night in Girokraster and this was perfect for exploring the castle and old bazaar in such a short time. The staff were very accommodating, the breakfast was tasty with a good variety and the swimming pool was a lovely addition.

Negative: No complaints.

Positive: Rose Garden Hotel was in a great location in Gjirokaster. Just far enough away from the old town that the evenings were very quiet, and only a 2 minute walk up to the castle, from stairs directly behind the property. The hotel provided us with driving instructions beforehand (which was perfect, as Google maps wanted to take us on a very different route!) and there was ample parking directly at the property, a rarity in Albania. Breakfast was extensive, with a barista making drinks to order every morning. We used their laundry service and it was extremely easy - we dropped it off in the morning and it came back folded and pressed by the early afternoon, all for about $5. We would absolutely stay here again if we were back in Gjirokaster!

Positive: Amazing hotel which we highly recommend. Superbly located for the castle and the town with both being a few minutes walk away. Staff were fantastic, breakfast was great and thr pool is lovely. Was a nice temperature even though it was only the end of May.
