Summary: Very nice place to stay, quiet (small village). cosy house and cosy bedroom, some with bathroom, big living room, great terrace with swimming pool and garden furniture. Just some thinks could be improved like the bed (I had a noisy bed) and the bed were a bit to small (but we are all tall) and what I don't understand why there is always a small cooking plate in the kitchen when you book a house for 12 and why the pans are never adapted to that (and mainly old). Fortunately we managed to cook (playing with cunning) but it will be very nice to improve this point for me (but this goes for a lot of other places). Antonio is very nice, friendly and with a good communication. We received a bottle of wine on the first day and breads every day. I thank him for all of that. Close to accommodation there are some paths to walk and one goes to a very nice small falls. We are close to Lamego (beautifull small city), Douro (Pinhao), a great lake (but not very charming), 1:40 form Porto mainly by speed way. We enjoyed the stay for all those thinks

Summary: This property is in a super position in a beautiful historical village. The property needs some attention and visitors should be made aware that there are a lot of steps both inside and outside the property. Whilst the property is spacious only 3 of the 6 bedrooms had wardrobes and we had to buy a couple of new pillows as the ones provided were very lumpy and uncomfortable. The kitchen had plenty of crockery but a lot of it was chipped so we replaced some of the unusable mugs. We were also very bemused to find there were no wine glasses!!! (Douro valley???) There was also a serious problem with ants in the downstairs lounge area. The pool area was lovely, however the outside furniture including sun loungers were well past their sell by date. Information leaflets about the property and surrounding area (in english) would have been very useful. With a little investment and some TLC this could be the perfect holiday destination.
