5 Bedroom Ski Chalet in Grimentz

Quaint chalet in the idyllic Valais mountain village Grimentz. Modern furnished living area with old soapstone stove and adjoining kitchen area. Partly overbuilt with a gallery (2 sleeps and library). 3 bedrooms of 2 beds, 2 shower rooms. Terrace and meadow, balcony (southwest facing). TV, radio, CD, internet (W-LAN), free of charge.
Fantastic view from the chalet to the center, opposite villages and the Weisshorn (4505m).
The house is managed in the four star category.
The chalet is directly accessible by car, 3 parking spaces. Bus stop, gondola station and center are about 500m away. All shops / restaurants are within walking distance.
In winter a total of 220km downhill trails - according to ADAC insider tip. Free ski bus stops directly above the chalet.
In summer wonderful hiking trails in all directions directly from the front door.
In the autumn magic colors between the glacier (valley exit over Grimentz) and vineyards (Rhone valley).

Summary: We had a pleasant stay with 2 adults and 5 teenagers. The châlet is typical and as described (note, however, that room 1 is mentioned twice in the description, but it is a 4-bedroom châlet, not a 5-bedroom châlet).The châlet is a 10-minute walk from the ski lifts, and 5-6 minutes from the old center of Grimentz (splendid). Recommended.

Summary: The house was very cozey, and convenient location. However the communication between the hostes and I were poor. As I was only told as that we need to bring our own towels and linen for bedding after we had arrive and I asked where it was!!! Very inconvenient trying to find these items in a small town, let alone after 7pm also!! Other then that, it's a lovely place to stay!!

Summary: The Chalet provided all that our family of four needed - and lots of room to spare. I would recommend it to anyone. The only confusion we had is that the owner does not provide towels and sheets, so we had to pay extra for a local Chalet service to provide them as we obviously weren't going to pack towels and sheets from the U.S.

Summary: The property was in a great location with great views. This was probably the warmest place that we have stayed at that had character to the property. The 500 meter walk to the ski lifts did feel a lot longer when you have young children, and you are carrying the skis's and poles and walking in your skiing boots, we opted for someone driving us to the Gondolla which was about a 30 second drive or a 8 minute walk. Eating out and drinking out is very expensive here, even buying the ingredients from the local shops was quite expensive, so if you are self catering i would say take your own food with you, 2 chicken breasts were 10 Francs (about £8.00) Eating on the mountain, 21 francs for a burger and chips and 4.70 Francs for a small bottle of Fanta, so if you can eat at home all the better. The apartment was lovely, and 1 of our party said the best he had ever stayed in, and would definitely go back again, which is very unusual for him! Overall good experience and can definitely recommend the apartment, the sking is not as good as in France as most of the lifts are either T-Bar's or Button lifts which becomes very tiring for the younger members of the skiing party, but as a bonus to that, the lifts had no queues at them at all, not sure if we were just lucky, but we never waited any more that 4 people in front, so working that out against the lack of runs, i would give the skiing the thumbs up also, if we had french queues to contend with i would probably not been very happy!

Summary: The home is well decorated and very clean and modern. The 3 rooms are very quiet. The location not far from the center is efficient. The balcony is really great for breakfast with a fantastic view. I recommend warmly this property. The global place is, in summer, fantastic for walking in the mountain, and the annivier free pass facilitate all the activities. Great
