Summary: The cabin is nice and is on the river. It is a short distance to Lake Martin which is beautiful. The outside of the property is not well maintained or look like the pictures at all. There is no bbq grill that is usable or fire pit as listed in the description. No toaster or toaster oven as listed. There was one grill that was all rusted out and corroded and nasty. I brought food to grill and asked the property manager about it and she said the grill hadnt been used in a long time and I could hike to another cabin and use theirs but she would charge me a cleaning fee. I attempted to cook inside but there was no can opener, either, so meals were a little difficult. The two air mattresses in the loft didn't hold air so two of us had to share a bed. There are no keys or keypad to lock the cabin so you have to take your valuables with you whenever you leave and leave the doors unlocked . She offered to let us use the boat at no charge due to the issues but due to the neglected property maintenance and the look of the boat we declined. We did use the canoes which were nice. The area is peaceful. They just need to clean it up or update their posting so people can plan.

Summary: This rental home felt like a cozy get-away and a upscale hunting cabin and a tree house all rolled into one. If you want to connect with nature but still have air conditioning, this is your place. The property is surrounded by woods, the floors and ceilings are made of wood. If it's not wood, it's stone. The cabin overlooks a body of water that is so peaceful and calm you'll feel like you're in a zen garden. We took the canoes out several times and my kids loved that the most. The only challenge with this property is the steep driveway. Four-wheel drive would have been useful but not a deal breaker. We had some unforseen problems after a storm. The owner was quick to fix everything. We did not miss a beat. If your dream is to stay in a secluded cabin surrounded by woods on a lake, this is your place.

Summary: Several moms got together to enjoy motherhood and the Mother's day weekend on the lake. The place was absolutely beautiful and we had a blast. Definitely recommend this to everyone that I know. We used the canoes to go out on the lake and it was beautiful. It was nice to have that ability. It was a little cold too get in the water and the rain had stirred up the water before we got there but it still was a breathtaking view every morning. To hear the birds and not have any City noises was very relaxing. Hoping to go back with my family again soon.

Summary: Even though the drive from the property entrance gate to the cabin was a bit scary (narrow road and steep hills) it was worth the drive. Once you get to the cabin you forget everything else, we loved the house, beautiful views and very cozy. It is the perfect place to just get there and never leave, make sure to bring everything you need so you don't have to go to the store or find places to eat. We will definetely come back during better weather so we can enjoy the outdoors a bit more. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is a MUST, not recommended, you HAVE to have one if you want to park by the cabin entrance, otherwise you will leave your vehicle and walk down and back up the steep hill. This should be stated on this site as a MUST. Besides that, it is a beautiful property, beautiful views and peaceful.

Summary: The house is ideal for hanging out with friends or family. The beds, chairs, couch, etc were super comfortable. The best part is that massive screened-in porch with the huge TV. A few of us guys hung out there and watched football games Saturday night. It was legitimately perfect for that. The upstairs deck and the patio on the ground level (both facing the lake) are great for watching sunrises and sunsets. We didn't take advantage of the canoes, but I'm sure that's a ton of fun at this location too.The only advice I'd give to anyone staying here is watch out for that steep hill/driveway. They have a sign saying "do not drive down here unless you have 4 Wheel Drive". Well....I ignored that and drove my two-wheel drive car down there. It wasn't pretty. But that's 100% my own fault as they clearly warn you not to do that. Overall, this is an awesome spot with plenty of amenities to make it a wonderful weekend. We're looking forward to making it a repeat stay a couple times a year if possible.

Summary: My husband and I went to this cabin for a weekend getaway and had a great time! The cabin itself was clean and cool, the bed was very comfortable, and the screened porch was FANTASTIC! Don't go expecting the wifi to do amazing things because you are a bit remote, but you won't miss it with the amazing view.

Summary: My husband and I stayed for the weekend and had a great time! The cabin isn't very big but it has pretty much everything you could need. I could have spent almost our entire trip on the screened porch! The wifi will work but just know that since it's a bit remote it isn't top speed by any means but with a view like that who really needs internet? We did end up having a couple of questions and William was quick to respond and very friendly! We will be back!
