Summary: Directions to the property were abismal. Bad start. House was not what was portrayed online. Much older, beds were uncomfortable. Floors were uneven, and walls leaked to the outside. Rent it at a reasonable price if it rents at all !

Summary: This is our second year staying here (see my previous review from August 2023) and we loved it as much as we did last year: easy, relaxed, comfortable, great location. One thing I’d mention is that there are no smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors in the house (which they say in the listing, it wasn’t a surprise), so if that is something that is important to you, I would recommend bringing your own. Otherwise, we had a great second stay here and would definitely return! Thanks for sharing this special house.

Summary: We tried to contact the host with questions before our stay and did not get a response. It was was worrisome as I've never encountered this with other hosts before. Thankfully we got in without issue. Unfortunately there was an issue with the cleaning service or someone using the place after it was cleaned. Someone from the cleaning service came by to apologize which was nice, but still unsure as to what happened. There was no propane for the grill which we purchased. And asked the host for reimbursement but never heard back.

Summary: The cottage was lovely and quaint and Jennifer was a great host. Yes, the cottage is 'rustic', but there was a flat screen TV and decent kitchen amenities, new decking. Some folks mentioned dust and I have allergies, but I didn't have any problem at all, it was clean and orderly. You cant beat the price of this cottage and complete privacy, so just go into w an open mind and enjoy all that Sconset has to offer.
