Positive: Excellent staff, location and accomodation. We chose to upgrade into family accomodation which had us in a suite of authetic Japanese rooms surrounded by Japanese antiques! We were lucky enough to enjoy local acitivities and cuisine as suggested by our host.

Positive: Loved the authentic feel of this place, staff was very helpful and even recommended us some places to eat. Hotel is easy to find with free parking and a private onsen available for booking! Would have loved to stay here more than one night, maybe some day.

Positive: The location is very nice, you can visit many places. They also have some bicycles that you can use for free. We used them to visit some beaches.

Positive: The front desk was great! they helped us booking rides to the silver mine and letting us know about the performance at a nearby shrine. I got sick later in the stay and the staff were very helpful getting some cold medicine in this small town with no pharmacy. The onsen/bathing facilities were small (as it is a small inn) and were very nice. The town was lovely but small so if you come at a busy time I suggest booking some of the restaurants. We did not book the food at the inn so I don't know how it was.

Negative: There was no private bathing/shower area in our room. This would not be a problem except I was sick so I was showering quickly in order to get out of the shared area. It is also an old building with a few internal stairways- if you find stairs difficult it would be hard to navigate. If you are not comfortable with a shared bathing space (I think you should try it) our room might not work well for you. I probably wouldn't have wanted to pay this price in JPY if the yen wasn't so weak when I visited.

Positive: Very friendly front desk staff who gave us recommendations for dinner/breakfast nearby. Room was also big.

Negative: No in-house food options. Seemed like electricity/reception was intermittent, as the television kept cutting off and coming back on.
