Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: It was a beautiful stay, with the staffs hospitality - they really went above and beyond making things feel pretty special. The Ryokan is in an incredible location, the onsens are private which is a bonus for couples (noting this isn’t possible in public Onsens). The meals are traditional and tasty.
Negative: Like all Ryokans, its location isn’t ideal if you don’t have access to a car. There is a bus but it’s about a 45 minute journey into town. The staff were more than accommodating with providing shuttles to and from Suzaka station.
Summary: An incredible, traditional and authentic Japanese experience.

Positive: The accommodation with excellent meals and breakfast. Great view from the dining area..Plenty of space in the room. And enjoyable Onsen. The snacks in the room were tasty. Convenient parking for the car.
Negative: I hit my head 2 times as I exit to go outside the ryokan which was painful and maybe the outside door is too low as I am only 1m75.
Summary: 4 days of enjoyable and peaceful stay with lots of snow all around

Positive: The views are very beautiful and the public onsen next door is nice. The dinner was good. The young lady serving at the dinner was very kind, as well as the lady at the reception.
Negative: The photos on the website do not correspond to the reality. The place is old and needs renovation. Some of the staff could be more polite. The breakfast was very basic. The staff rushes you and complains if you are late 3 minutes.
Summary: Nice view but that's all.

Positive: Firstly we were greeted warmly as we came to check in. Everything was explained clearly and we get to choose the yukata with our size. The rooms are tatami style with a super comfortable futon. The food was a set of Japanese dishes that is really good and the onsen was awesome. Overall we love the authentic japanese ryokan experience.
Negative: Nothing. We were very satisfied.
Summary: Best Japanese ryokan experience

Positive: My wish is everyone could stay here / experience this stay. Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly face & exceptional service. They brought our luggage up to the room for us and showed us how to use a ryokan. Honestly wish I could give the man at the front desk / little old lady helping us in a hug. The private onsens were so gorgeous. We were able to access all 3 without a wait , but if they were in use there’s a time limit of 50 minutes and you can mark yourself down next if that’s the case. We chose to have dinner & breakfast included in our stay, and it was also amazing. High quality local traditional food. We were taught how to eat some dishes. We were both brought to tears with the amount of joy this stay brought us. One of our top experiences within Japan. Our room was huge with lots of space & beautiful light. Futons were comfortable. If you’re undecided where to stay for a great ryokan experience, please choose this place ! * If you’re looking for coffee there is a vending machine in lobby area & just outside near the parking lot.
Negative: If you’re a size 18/20 US the yukatas might be a little snug but I made due!
Summary: Amazing experience. 20/10 stars.

Positive: Wonderful open-air onsens, attentive staff, convenient shuttle service to and from the station, and a spacious room with a great view.
Negative: A subjective observation: for European tastes, the traditional meal can be quite complex to understand. More guidance on how to enjoy it properly would have been helpful.

Positive: The staff, the view and the facilities were amazing. The food was next level. We were a party of 5, and everyone was blown away. The baths were amazing.
Negative: Due to there being 5 of us, we had tatami mats, and two of us didn't sleep well as we are a bit chubby. This is not a reflection on the establishment though, we knew what we booked. It was genuinely amazing.
Summary: Amazing
